  • Lsix: Like "Ls", but for Images
I switched to Zellij[1] a few years back, and I've been enjoying Sixel support since sometime in 2022. If you're looking to shake up your workflow, I find it's a vastly superior experience to tmux out of the box. It ships with all the features I would otherwise add through external plugins and convoluted configuration scripts by default while remaining significantly more stable and more performant. I used to do all of this type of stuff to get my copy-paste to work in tmux but honestly it's still a pita. The alternative I started using recently (zellij[1]) has copy and paste just working out of the box with no fancy configuration required and also has a much saner session management mechanic that also works right out of the box. • `tmux` is worse is better
Being a big tmux fan, I never thought it would come to something like this, but Zellij (https://zellij.dev/) has completely solved this for me. I generally run Zellij on my laptop and tmux on remote servers -- it's been a surprisingly positive experience so far. Try it out -- your tmux muscle memory (e.g. All the hotkeys you remember) will also work out of the box. - Source: Hacker News / 19 days ago

  • Any mtm hackers?
I have been using tmux for a while, and to be frank it is not that great. I constantly have issues with the copy and paste modes, it always spawns a session handler which I often don't want, it is all around pain in the ass. I tried using dvtm for a while, but in the terminal, I tend to prefer a more free flow and manual pane management-style. Doing some research I found a multiplexor called mtm which seems to be...
