This has been in circulation since a while AI images took off, and they certainly weren't convincing before they did. You know the old "try to name one thing in this image" macro? Actually, they wouldn't need to pay artists at all to make new PFPs. All the PFPs thus far were generated on Artbreeder. Also, before the premium-exclusive "Survival Mode" was removed, there were a couple of unique PFPs to get from it, one being (presumably) an orc. Still, I agree.
