The free plan of Contentful is generous enough to allow us to run a successful technology blog without having to pay for any overheads to run it. We used them as an alternative to the previously used Ghost. We have experienced a lot of growth since this migration.
Based on our record, Strapi seems to be a lot more popular than Contentful. While we know about 312 links to Strapi, we've tracked only 9 mentions of Contentful. Strapi is a headless CMS that helps you build content-based sites with the frontend of your choice by providing a reliable, customizable API backend. Strapi allows you to define your own content types, includes a feature-rich admin panel, and provides all of the building blocks you need to develop a comprehensive editing and publication workflow. - Source: dev.to / 8 days ago
Strapi provides a centralized data managing platform. This makes it easier to organize, update, and maintain the FAQ data. It also automatically generates a RESTful API for accessing the content stored in its database. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
Https://prisma.io is popular as I understand it. I've been trying out https://strapi.io the last week and am thoroughly impressed. They both do much more than build queries. One big thing both do is automate database migration calculations. Strapi goes further and gives you a CMS and admin UI on top, as well as doing a lot more of the complex query building from a json object. Both still require a fundamental... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
A headless one is responsible only for data management and providing an API for other applications to show this data. When talking about headless CMS, Strapi or Sanity comes to my mind first, but there are many more. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
Next, I’ll copy and paste the draft text to my CMS. I’ve been using Contentful since working there in 2021. I use Rich Text rather than Markdown for my posts and what’s great about this is that copying and pasting from Notion preserves hyperlinks and formatting. If I’m including anything else like code samples, images and other embedded media, I add those as separate linked entries manually whilst working through... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

Markdown has a far smaller learning curve than HTML and can easily be taught to non-tech-savvy writers. Markdown editors are also built-in to headless CMSs like Contentful. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
It depends on the requirements, but this might actually call for a headless CMS like Forestry.io or Contentful coupled with a Static Site Generator like Hugo. The CMS will manage users/permissions/data hierarchy and provide a simple frontend for users to add content, lay out pages, etc. And then when they save a change, the SSG will re-run and render everything to static HTML/CSS/JS. Contentful is a headless content management system (CMS). Headless simply means there is no front-end to display the content to the consumer. It's basically a database, but much easier to setup and maintain than a traditional relational database. Contentful provides a very easy-to-use API for fetching and managing content. They also support GraphQL queries if you're into that. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
Contentful has become my favorite Headless CMS. I use it to generate static web pages, this blog, and storing other forms of data, such as user profiles. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
