First things first, you'll need to register a domain if you haven't already. You can do this through any domain registrar like GoDaddy, Porkbun, or even Cloudflare itself. - Source: dev.to / 16 days ago
One thing you will need to do for yourself is buy the domain name. There are lots of good places. I’ve been a fan of Porkbun and Namesilo. I don’t think there’s a huge difference for which registrar you use, but I like these because they offer WHOIS privacy and email forwarding at no extra charge on top of their already low prices. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
One domain I have had for over 20 years was originally purchased with GoDaddy. I then transferred to Google Domains when that opened up for supposedly better integration with Google Workspace. Now Google Domains is closing up and transferring to Squarespace but I just received an email that they do not support Dynamic DNS (DDNS) so now I'm looking to transfer my domain again. Check porkbun.com, namesilo.com, then namecheap.com. They offer most but not all TLDs but each offers a few the other doesn't. There are some that none of them offer so you can try GoDaddy but they're pricey. Those three are among your best bets for long term low pricing. Source: 6 months ago
218,691 registered domains. [1] $3M/month. M as in million, not mille [2]? Mille is still commonly used in accounting [3] $36M/year is $164.61 per registered domain per year. Porkbun [4] offer .ai $72.40/year. Even 3 letter domains don't seem to have premium pricing. Something in this unsourced tweet, literally, doesn't add up. MXroute and Migadu offer a type of email hosting where you pick a price tier based on the amount of emails and storage used, not on the number of users. As long as you stay within the tier you can have unlimited mailboxes, with your own domains, you can set up aliases, forwarding, webmail etc. Source: 9 months ago
I'm starting with Mailbox, although people talk wonders about Migadu. Source: about 1 year ago
Can’t speak for those panels, but Migadu might work for your emails, if like me, you keep a few clients around after winding down. Source: about 1 year ago
I quite like https://migadu.com mainly for its very easy to understand pricing system, when you have 5+ domains and domain aliases gmail becomes very very expensive and that’s before adding all the seats. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
If you don't rely too much on the security part and as you said have not much mail traffic, I can highly recommend looking into migadu. They have a very cheap plan with multiple domains and accounts and such but do limit the mail traffic. Source: over 1 year ago
