Great for editing models and putting together complex scenes directly in the browser. I have used it for several interior design projects and it worked smoothly all the time. Also cool that you can share your stuff in augmented reality with a couple of clicks. That made my clients go crazy >D

Hey r/gamedev, two years ago I started poly.pizza - a community sourced low poly asset library I created from scratch to save google poly from being lost. The post I made here about it was one of the most awarded posts on the sub (insane!). Source: about 1 year ago
You're way better off just finding a different model if you can't make a lower poly version yourself. I'd go look on other sites like poly.pizza and models-resource.com. Source: over 1 year ago
Go to https://www.thingiverse.com/ Https://sketchfab.com/ Https://poly.pizza/ Find a model you like, download, import in Blender, decimate modifier, export so the file has less than 2MB, import in TTS. (for larger, more complex models you'll have to download unity too and it's a bit more of a hassle). Source: over 1 year ago
For the most curious my motivation comes from VR. I prototype in VR, WebXR to be precise, so the foundational primitive for VR scenes are 3D models, hence the interest. Also if that helps there are repositories of 3D models with a certain style, like "low poly" (few polygons to be usable on low end devices) e.g https://poly.pizza/ that could help this kind of work. The fastest way to get good IMO is to download simple models from a place like poly.pizza and recreate them. Source: almost 2 years ago
