I use my Xbox controller with the JoyXoff app that has a very clean Xbox look popup keyboard. Works great for my use and you can toggle the mouse/keyboard function and use it as a regular controller with a few button combos. Very customizable to control all media, volume, and pretty much any keys/button customization you want. Source: 12 months ago
I know programs like x360ce, reWASD (another paid one!) or JoyXoff that map control buttons to keyboard/mouse, but do you know any free alternative that works as a browser extension? Thank you! Source: 12 months ago
I just started using https://joyxoff.com/en/ as a free alternative to controller companion after a few recommendations. Not sure if it maps the buttons you need, but it’s worth a try. Very simple to use. Source: about 1 year ago
I would recommend installing this on the PC you are connecting to: https://joyxoff.com/en/. Source: about 1 year ago
JoyXoff <- a good little shim to pair with SWICD bring back the mouse when the controller is in '360 mode'. Source: almost 2 years ago
However you could get around this by installing something like Controller Companion to navigate around the LaunchBox UI then set it to disable when an app is in full screen. Because your in game controls are handled by whatever emulator you have set up to play the game you selected. Source: 11 months ago
I thought I needed this and just discovered Controller Companion as a better solution since it enables scrolling with the analog sticks http://controllercompanion.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
Trackball like others have suggested is definitely one of the better options. Alternatively you can use a game controller like a Xbox controller with a bit of software called Controller Companion which works really well. http://controllercompanion.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
I really like the scrolling mechanics that Controller Companion provides (larger deflection=faster scroll). Source: over 1 year ago
Oh, and for remapping, you could leave it on gamepad mode and use something like controller companion: http://controllercompanion.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
