Similarly to Promises/A+, this effort focuses on aligning the JavaScript ecosystem. If this alignment is successful, then a standard could emerge, based on that experience. Several framework authors are collaborating here on a common model which could back their reactivity core. The current draft is based on design input from the authors/maintainers of Angular, Bubble, Ember, FAST, MobX, Preact, Qwik, RxJS, Solid,... - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
Ember pioneered the standardised usage of global cli tool. This is a perfect way to give new users a good onboarding experience as well as existing users power tools for daily usage. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Ember.js: Ember.js is an open-source JavaScript web framework that utilizes a component-service pattern. It allows developers to create scalable single-page web applications by incorporating common idioms, best practices, and patterns from other single-page-app ecosystem patterns into the framework. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
Other popular frontend libraries include Vue.js, Angular, and Ember.js. Vue.js is a progressive JavaScript framework that is gaining popularity due to its simplicity and ease of use. Surprisingly, Vue.js has been more popular than React.js for a long time if you consider the GitHub stars parameter alone. Angular is a framework developed by Google that is widely used in enterprise applications. Ember.js is a... - Source: dev.to / 12 months ago
I've been working on a small side project, more on that later, and wanted a straight forward way to deploy a serverless full-stack app. I'm using Ember.js as the front-end framework and the back-end is AWS, Amazon Web Services, Lambda and other AWS services. This post describes the minimal setup to deploy a full-stack app with Ember.js and a Lambda API endpoint. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
First a disclosure: I never actually used Stencil, only played with it a bit locally in a hello-world project while writing this post. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
This is my main concern too. I don't understand why tools like this "pick a winner" with a specific framework instead of rendering to Web Components with a framework wrapper, or using something like Stencil[1] that can render to any framework. I was recently able to sit down with some of the core members of Ionic, who also created Stencil a toolchain for building Design Systems and Progressive Web Apps. We talked at great length how typically companies are approaching Ionic from a Design Team and need help building components. As a developer I wanted to talk about the Web Components that are used within the Design System first. There was a decent amount... - Source: dev.to / 6 months ago
A web component should do ONE thing whereas a JS framework is a whole ecosystem. I made a video player web component that could take in various inputs, with a torrent file being the most complex of them. I was then able to port it to Vue/React with StencilJS [0] (although it was good to go without). Just drop the `https://stenciljs.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Examples like this bug me. The React example is using a high level abstraction, the web component is directly using the API. A more accurate example would show how those React calls eventually boil down to document.createElement() I don’t think the Web Components API was meant to be used directly all the time. You can use a framework like StencilJS: https://stenciljs.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
