20+ JavaScript libraries to draw your own diagrams (2022 edition)
Similar to nomnoml, Mermaid’s main focus is the generation of diagrams from text files, in this case via a simple markdown-like script language. It depends on d3 and dagre-d3 for providing the graphical layout and drawing libraries. It offers an online editor but you can also directly reuse the packaged Mermaid API to integrate Mermaid in your own developments. It mainly...

  • ChatCraft Adventures #10
Currently, ChatCraft supports Mermaid rendering. This feature request involves adding support for nomnoml rendering. Nomnoml is similar to Mermaid, in that they're both used in generating uml diagrams. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • How to draw beautiful software architecture diagrams
It’s either PowerPoint or draw.io depending on the time I have and the complexity. Then I found this web based coded solution 1 and I was having more fun then I deserved, especially to quickly add shapes, connections, and not worry too much how it is going to look aesthetically. But then I do worry how it is going to look and I can’t really force where I want the shapes and group them differently, and when I’m... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
  • Include diagrams in your Markdown files with Mermaid
Mermaid is fantastic. Aside from mermaid, I've recently been introduced to nomnoml (https://nomnoml.com/) and it is fantastic as well. My wish is for Mermaid and nomnoml to become universally supported among Markdown web renderers (I'm looking first and foremost at Github of course). - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • Show HN: OneModel – Diagramming tailor-made for Software Engineers
That's a good point IMO and that's why I still find nomnoml my favorite https://nomnoml.com/. However, nomnoml is more like UML tool than diagramming tool like OneModel. So a big issue could be how to keep all the icons in the text format. With SVGs, the file would be big/or would include some extra assets folder, or with the links directly hosted on OneModel, the file would be tightly coupled. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • I'd like to make a site that allows users to make flow charts. Each step of the flow chart needs a centered name for the step but then numbers on each of the corners. Is there a library that can do this already?
Https://nomnoml.com/ might suit your needs. Source: about 3 years ago
