I know this is usually not the best strategy for coming up with side projects but for me it's just always about solving my own problem. The downside is that I'm solving the problems mostly fellow nerds have that they usually want to solve themselve instead of paying someone to do it for them. Have you looked at PySolFC? It has all the card game and while it's not a clone of Windows Solitaire, it looks good, has the auto drop and card animations when you win a game. I find it to be really good. Source: almost 2 years ago

I'd recommend downloading PySolFC instead. It has a clunkier, slightly archaic interface that reminds me of the old Win9x days, but it's free, has no ads, and has a bigger selection of games than literally any other Solitaire program out there. Source: almost 3 years ago
