That reminds me--I also bought a scale from walmart.com so that I could weigh my packages and put in the exact weight in ShippingEasy or ShipStation and get the right cost for the shipping label. I think the scale I found cost $20 or so, and it was a Saga digital postal scale. Walmart doesn't sell the one I bought anymore, but you can still find similar ones.

I would advise looking around usps.com, ups.com and fedex.com to see what supplies you can get for free. You can get envelope pouches to use to attach shipping labels. If you use something like ShipStation or ShippingEasy to ship items and print out labels, you will absolutely get a tracking number. I think if you go through usps.com, you should get a tracking number for first class shipments, too. I'm thinking your hand bags would still be under 1lb in a padded envelope, so that would still let you use first class shipping. Anything over 1lb with USPS is priority mail and more expensive. The cheapest would be first class USPS. I've seen people mix and match envelope pouches and free packaging without any issue, i.e. UPS envelopes for shipping labels on USPS packages. I worked for a business that did this daily. I think I have seen a few people use the priority mail padded envelopes with first class shipping labels, as well, without an issue, and you can get those priority mail padded envelopes free from usps.com.
