Maybe Macs Fan Control is close enough https://crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control. Source: 11 months ago
  • Recommendation on how to make diablo 4 run cooler on M1 Max?
You can make device cooler by manually turning on the fan and tinkering with the RPM of fan to make it run cooler when running games. Macboook by default does not turn on the Fans until its over 90 degree. You can use this free Fan control software. I have been using it and my mac runs cooler when gaming and such. • CPU/system fans stopped on wake
Install Macs Fan Control or TG Pro and see if you can get the fans to start up again after wake. Source: 12 months ago
  • Must-have add-ons/accessories for MBP
Get Macs fan control, the built in temperature for when the fans kicks in is very high. https://crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control. Source: almost 1 year ago
  • Is it time for a new computer or are my issues fixable?
Knowing how one might reproduce an issue doesn’t mean the cause is failing hardware. Apple Diagnostics may be able to tell you more, and Macs Fan Control can tell you if the fans are in working order and you can make them spin faster if you want. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Would a refurbished 2017 MacBook Pro be any good for video editing today? (Premiere/DaVinci)
However if do have your heart set on the macbook make sure they have at least cleaned it out and repasted the CPU. It should take care of the overheating problem some what you can use like Mac's fan control to get a bit more cooling out of it https://crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control It's what I use on my 2012 mac book bro which is way older. • Random boot times with new SSD - iMac 2011
I've run Apple Diagnostics built-in test and I got the infamous 4SNS/1/40000000: TH00-9.000 error. I already fixed the temperature problem by using this fan monitor software, even before I knew about this error. But I'm wondering if the random drive detection during the boot process might be related to this issue. If that was the case, should I apply this solution? Feels a bit extreme. And I will lose the SSD... Source: about 1 year ago
  • World of Warcraft - macbook pro 16gb M1 og
59 here :) at rock solid 60fps mostly.. I use "Macs Fan Control" (https://crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control) because the original curve kicks in too late... Just play at 50% render scale... Source: over 1 year ago

  • 27" 2020 iMac fans spinning at full speed, even when it's cool
Trying macs fan control and sensei, which work fine until the fans go out of control. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Finally Operational!!
Alternatively, you can use software like Macs Fan control. Source: over 1 year ago
  • A1224 iMac Fan Overspin and Disconnected Plugs
Aside from that mess, I suggest using Macs Fan Control. It’s a free app that lets you specify what sensors you want your iMac fans to be linked too. The only downside is that the app has to be running to work, so the fans will still spin full blast up until the desktop loads. Source: over 1 year ago
  • TF2 lag
As you described, seems like its not like a graphics issue. So maybe it's throttling. Did you check the temperature? Download Mac Fans Control. There you will have the temp and you can put the fans to run always at "Full blast" what can make your game more stable. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How to update Boot Camp drivers
I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on my 2015 MacBook Pro 15" DG and thought I'd share. I found this article from Apple detailing how to update AMD drivers on Boot Camp. I went through the steps and it worked out just fine. No problems. I installed Macs Fan Control as well. I set the options to 30°C & 70°C for the GPU (left fan) & CPU (right fan). • Mac shipments shoot up a whopping 40%
Definitely check out Macs Fan Control. You can set your thermals anywhere you like. The basic version is free and does all that I need it to do. I've been using it for a few years and have been really happy with it. https://crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control. Source: over 1 year ago
  • any way to make my macbook pro quieter?
Just a thought, but have you installed MacsFanControl to check if all the temperature sensors are reading properly? If, during a previous foray into the internals you didn’t reconnect everything back just the way it was, that might do it. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Kernel_task high thread problem (236 threads)
You might have a cooling/heat exhaust issue. Apple Diagnostics can test the fan activity, and you can view the internal temperatures of various components using Macs Fan Control in addition to increasing the RPM manually if need be. Apple Diagnostics can also test the RAM but since it’s non-removable you could be looking at a logic board replacement out-of-warranty if there are issues found. Source: over 1 year ago
