- Renting in the UK is very difficult right now. There are far more tenants looking than available places, which means prices are high and competition very large. You may struggle due to your lack of history in the UK, which may mean you have to provide a guarantor (someone who promises to pay your rent if you stop paying) and/or pay 6-12 months of rent up-front. If you are looking for a vacant property to rent... Source: 10 months ago
Look for house prices on rightmove.co.uk or zoopla.co.uk . Look at the price - you need 10% of the price as a deposit. Take the remaing 90% of the value and divide by 4, or 4.5 .. that's the salary you'll need to get a mortgage to cover that much money. Roughly. Source: 11 months ago

You can try places like https://s1homes.com, https://rightmove.co.uk and https://zoopla.co.uk but I am not going to lie, finding a place that allows pets will be very difficult in the city. Most major letting agents will flat out refuse any pets, so you best bet is smaller agent (e.g. Western Lettings) and contacting landlords direct. Source: over 1 year ago
Once you have a budget (your budget should be available cash (minus any you want to keep back for fees or a post sale safety net) + 4.5x your yearly pre tax salary), you will want to start searching the market and do viewings. 99% of houses are advertised on rightmove.co.uk and zoopla.co.uk. You may also want to sign up for some Estate Agent's mailing lists as they will sometimes send out details a day or two... Source: over 1 year ago
Since my wife is going to be joining me as a dependent, we're looking for private accommodations. Look at rightmove.co.uk and zoopla.co.uk. My plan is to fly in on sept 1 and stay in an airBnB while I apartment hunt and just take the cheapest place that ticks enough of our boxes (close to uni, ground floor, etc). I've been looking and it looks like new apartments are typically posted at the beginning of the month... Source: over 1 year ago

If you want FAT suburban living pick a rich market town within about 1 hour fast train of central london, for example Sevenoaks, Chiselhurst, Beaconsfield, Henley (especially if you can afford a riverfront), Oxford, Cambridge etc, there's lots. Look for lots of expensive houses (rightmove.co.uk or zoopla.co.uk) over a wide area. If you want to stay closer in to London somewhere like Richmond or Windsor is the... Source: about 2 years ago
Size wise, yes that’s possible for an apartment. Price wise… It may be possible depending on your standards and where you want to live. Zoopla and Rightmove are the best places to look for an idea, but if you want a modern American condo style apartment of that size relatively near the centre or even around the Emirates, I’d plan to add at least 50% to your budget.
