  • Streaming with local channels
You TubeTV Base plan is $65.00 for 85 channels, but there are add on tiers to get what you want for an extra cost of course. Unlimited DVR, Spanish channels for an extra $14.99. Spanish Plan is $24.99, which is confusing, so to get all of it I guess you add the two priced together, which adds up to about the same about as all the other services. I want to switch to YouTube Tv but when I put my zip code in and look at the channels, I don't see Fox, all I see is Fox News, Fox soul, FS1, Fs2, etc. Is Fox on your guide or is it not available where I am? • [Canzano] “The ex-Fox Sports Network president, Bob Thompson, placed Oregon’s media-rights value at $30 million and Stanford’s at $45 million”
And San Francisco subscribers currently get the B1G Network. Obviously they still pay carriage fees, I'm arguing that when everyone has the B1G network, it's value should be based on the number of additional viewers it draws, not what new media markets it draws in, as those markets already include the B1G network on the increasingly prevalent streaming platforms. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago

Scroll down to the ZIP code field and put in the home's zip code and click SUBMIT. The web page will tell you the name of your DMA. Now go back to https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/ and put in the zip code for your son's home-away-from-home, namely his college. I bet you'll find it's in the... - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago

  • Playback area vs. Home Area
The solution I've found that always seems to work is to, first, make sure that your main streaming device (smart TV or Roku or Fire or whatever) and your smart phone are both connected to the same Internet connection, normally through WiFi. Then put the YTTV app on the phone, go to the Current Playback Area Update menu on that app but DO NOT click Update, then pull up the Current Playback Area menu in your... - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
  • If you’re on a family plan as a member, youtube tv now requires you to be in the same area code. Finding zero work around.
I can certainly understand why YouTube TV might want to enforce all members living in the same household. One logical way of doing that is to ensure that all log-ins of a Family Group are in the same DMA, as defined at https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/ . - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago

Go to https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/ . Scroll down to the Watch live TV section, and fill in the Zip Code box and click SUBMIT. The web page will pull up a list of your local channels along with the label for your DMA. You might discover, to your disappointment, that your in the RI DMA. If that is the case, I'm afraid you're out of luck. But if it says you're in the Boston area, then you can fix it. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
  • Not in home area
In my case, I have two residences, my primary home in 10019 and then a second residence on the other side of town, at 10022. When I travel back and forth, I frequently get a warning message when I try to watch one of the local channels, even though both are in the same Designated Market Area, or DMA. (The quickest easiest way to determine your YouTube TV DMA is to go to tv.youtube.com/welcome and fill in your... - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
  • Question about unlimited streams limitations
Every single YouTube TV account has a home area defined by zip code. Every zip code is assigned to a Designated Market Area or DMA. If you go to https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/ and scroll down to Watch live TV from 85+ channels, you will see a box labeled ZIP code. Fill in that box with the zip code for the home in which you watch YouTube TV. In our case, that zip code is 10019. Then click SUBMIT. A popup... - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
