Hi everyone. The other day a client of mine's employees started having issues with the "internet not working". After some detective work with traceroute and interviewing them about what sites they were having issues with, I determined that the actual issue was with the web.whatsapp.com service having downtime. I'm mentioning all this because I'm now thinking of making them a small video/article on our intranet... Source: 4 months ago
I believe web.whatsapp.com is being blocked by local telecom companies in order to protect their duopoly and keep Oman in tech--stone-age. If fewer people know how else the rest of the world uses the internet, then they don't have to make an effort to improve their offerings. Omantel is definitely blocking this web.whatsapp.com. Hello, everyone! I've been having this issue since last night, anytime I try and input web.whatsapp.com on my browser I get redirected to www.whatsapp.com - not even the Whatsapp Web button on the page itself works. I've tried this on Firefox, Edge, and Chrome, and keep having the same problem, cleared cookies too. Hi! I've been encountering a bug where when I create a Home-screen Bookmark in Safari, and delete it, and then restart my device, it reappears. I've tried it with Apple's normal website, and this bug doesn't happen, but when I tried it with WhatsApp Web (https://web.whatsapp.com/) this bug appears and I cannot properly delete the Bookmark anymore. So just double checked and the reason why is because there isn't a WhatsApp app for iPad. Only iPhone. So the only workaround is using https://web.whatsapp.com/ in the Safari browser. Source: 10 months ago

Regarding the question about WhatsApp on PC, there is a web interface of WhatsApp that you can access by going to https://web.whatsapp.com. However, KaiOS version of WhatsApp DOES NOT support this feature. Attempting to log in the web interface via an Android phone beforehand results in both the Android app and web interface being logged out when signing in WhatsApp on KaiOS. Source: 10 months ago
