  • Making a paper wallet offline
I found a website called walletgenerator.net that lets you create paper wallets, but back in 2018 a vulnerability was discovered where duplicate key pairs were generated and potentially stored on the server. They provide the website source code's GitHub repo for the at the bottom of each page. My question is: if you were to download the source code and run it on an offline PC, would it be safe again? • How do you create your own bitcoin wallet? I mean without CEX or other 3rd parties. How do you really own your bitcoins with your keys?
You can create a paper wallet (just one private code and one public address) based on your random mouse movements. There is a website for this. https://walletgenerator.net/ Download the website and run it on an offline computer (to be sure your address isn't sent back to anyone) and print out the paper go to atm to deposit money. I did this for a small "buried" treasure if any kids solve a cryptographic puzzle on... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Can anyone help me out to see if this GitHub code generates a unique secure wallet address and not some scammy address which would be compromised

  • A confusion about the wallet addresses
As an example, I create a new keypair at https://walletgenerator.net/ : - Public 12gycnkMdc8MgLZjZHAjhf7wG5J3n9Yyii - Private 5JFTbTKucZa9WZCZemCBWF2MhxSGwLmqwotiY4THYY1SW8xbQXG So, if I import that private key into Electrum, I get the same public key. What if I generate a new receiving address? Source: over 2 years ago
  • How effective are paper wallets for long term storage of assets? And what’s the best method of creating one?
If you're looking for something a little more sophisticated this is more likely what you're looking for. https://walletgenerator.net/. Source: over 2 years ago

  • They look damn sexy good in the dark!!! 40gpus, 10 ASIC L3++ and 3 minidoge miners printing money
Thanks. I was looking at the ledger Nanos, the issue is it can only store 3 currencies, so it probably would be best to use the X. It's honestly hard to decide as to the reviews for both of them honestly suck. Personally, I like the paper wallets, the issue is finding a trusting site that doesn't use the same keys over and over again. It appears that walletgenerator.net can no longer be trusted. • Which privkey is correct?? Can’t figure it out
You can download a copy of https://walletgenerator.net/ and then enter the private key in some tab, so it’ll generate your public key… not sure though if it generates the same public key every time but it’s worth trying. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Another wallet question

  • Good news?
Here is a universal paper wallet generator. Remember, when your coins are with the exchange, they own them, not you. The best thing to do imo is to slowly transfer your coins in small amounts to a paper wallet over time. Most exchanges will have a network fee on the transfer too, and sometimes it is quite high. I think for doge its about 25 coins to transfer to another wallet, so if you end up accumulating a... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Issues facing Dogecoin.com - potentially scaring aware new folks?
And since the paper wallet functionality is broken on the only functional wallet listed on Dogecoin.com, I tried searching for a safe paper wallet generator and came across a few online GitHub repos from sites recommended on the subreddit. They are all broken. One wallet that has been recommended in a few archived threads is walletgenerator.net. Of course, the only safe way to use these wallet generators are to...
