I lost mine in a move last year and they said they wont give me the discount without the serial (i sent them a copy of invoice I bought from ooni.com, so it's not like I was bs'ing them). It really bummed me out, but I returned my pizzaiolo that I got for 800, and paid the difference for a volt (i was hoping to get it for even money, but life happens) ended up ordering one anyways. I'm so sorry that this has happened! The Ooni Stone is custom made from 100% cordierite stone that is durable and can cope with the high temperatures inside the Ooni. Breakages are extremely rare and I do apologize for any inconvenience caused ! As others have stated the number one issue is temperature. Home ovens will not get hot enough to cook this style of pizza. If you are willing to spend a few hundred dollars you could get a table top oven that can get to 800 - 900 F. Ooni is one brand I see a lot of people use with great success: https://ooni.com.
