  • Thoughts on improving quality of life on a 40%?
For #3, this is just a matter of practice. I got good at this by regularly doing this sight: https://typing.io/ and choosing a different programming language (don't worry if your not a programmer -- the point of this is the frequency of symbols you will have to type while practicing)... In a few short sessions a day you'll see steady improvement until it feels pretty normal. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Best Monkeytype settings for coding/math?
At this point, I'm happy with how fast I can type regular words (154wpm on monkeytype default 30s, 104wpm on english 5k with capitals and punctuation), but I want to improve my ability to type code/math (basically symbol heavy stuff). I've tried stuff like typing.io but I don't love the UI (afaik there's no way to change it) and the programming languages in monkeytype, but those seem to give me too many words. I... • My planck ez is in the mail, what do y'all reccomend
I would recommend not using your TKL at home for at least 2 weeks to get used to the 40% layout first. Also practice on typing sites like https://www.keybr.com/ or if you are a developer and use a lot of symbols https://typing.io/ -- This will break you into it. Otherwise, you will be frustrated at how slow you are when you take it on the road. There is an investment that must be put in up front on this to get... Source: over 2 years ago
  • How easy is it to learn speed typing
Once I felt confident without the animations I moved on to kebr.com as it uses an algorythmic learning procedure, its really good at detecting where you are hitting resistance and offering extra practice in those areas. It shows you lots of real time and graphed data to show your ever-improving progress. Finally if you want to learn how to program once you are around 95% accuracy check out typing.io, and it will...
