Not sure it’s the right place to post this question but does anybody know an app/software similar to TreeSheets ( that can run in a Webbrowser or be self hosted? Source: 9 months ago

  • Ask HN: Is there a grid style Notepad?
As a "Text Editor", in MS Word (desktop), I know you can double-click anywhere and start writing (and writing on the same line won't affect the position of other inline "text cells"). As an "infinite grid", there is, but it is not exactly geared toward your aim (more like a spreadsheet/outliner combo, or "hierarchical spreadsheet"). - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

  • Excel 2.0 – Is there a better visual data model than a grid of cells?

  • Resources to plan and keep track of your writing
There's also a free spreadsheet-like program I've used a few times called Treesheets. I say spreadsheet-like because it looks like a spreadsheet, but you can use it in different ways. I like it because it's easy to add columns or rows, link things like a mind map and other stuff. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Anyone else get overwhelmed?
Keep a memo-pad or other medium for notes. Jot down ideas for your setting as you have them even if they're incomplete, and trust yourself to come back and expand later. Merge your notes into a single document every few months and use that time as a chance to reexamine old ideas that you may have forgotten. Who knows, they might be relevant to the writing problems you're facing now. Other than that be cognizant of... Source: over 2 years ago

  • Bevy 0.5
In my wildest dreams, there would be a reincarnation of Treesheets in Rust (Excel-like grid whose cells can contain text, an image and a grid of subcells ad infinitum + a zooming UI). Source: about 3 years ago
