  • How do you do writing sprints?
I use: tomato-timer.com, and I use the basic 25/5 or 25/10 for a longer rest. I set the bell tone I want and tell it to go continuously (that's "auto start" under settings). I get myself ready, close out wasting time tabs, open my document, make sure I have my water by my side, and press "start." Then I do my 5 or 6 sprints and usually am done for the day. • The Pomodoro Technique, a structure for your time.
Hi, and thank you for setting this up! The software I used is https://tomato-timer.com/, it's literally just a timer, there are more sophisticated ones out there, with to do list functions, etc. But it's just the sitting down and doing it that I have problems with - I know what I need to do and by when! I look forward to hearing recommendations and tips from others 😃. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Remaking a old unfinshed mudwing walk cycle! tips are very welcome because i have no clue what i am doing
If you're having trouble keeping to animation projects, maybe it's because you're taking on so much work at once that you quickly lose steam. I had the same issue, I'd start, realize how much work I'd have to do, carry on a bit, and then just drop the project because why bother. I was able to get around it by using the pomodoro technique, which is essentially just "set timer for 25 minutes, only work in those 25... Source: about 2 years ago
  • Three Weeks and Beyond with #100Devs
Since learning from The Odin Project, I was familiar with adding HTML semantics to the BBC Homework Assignment. The trough of sorrow hit me like a train when reading 12 lessons back to back and creating various flashcards on Anki. Because I have not been in a structured learning environment in seven years, paying attention and staying focused was no easy task. Thankfully, I was able to complete the lessons using... - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago

  • Do you guys have problems with procrastination?
Pomodoro techniques. I do a single 25 minutes of 'cleaning/organization/debt' kind of things pretty much everyday, sometimes I'll even split it up, 10 minute there and 15 minute there. I always user a timer (e.g. https://tomato-timer.com/) If I REALLY am caught up on most things Ill be more likely to skip a day, but it helps burn down 'a lot of things' into pretty sizeable small amount of work, also I always... • Do you guys have problems with procrastination?
I was the same. Started using the pomedoro method. In other words the tomato timer. I use the 5min breaks to just walk around the room and not be near the pc. Helps a lot. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Life hacks to survive life with adhd?
I second music! Make a playlist that helps you focus. When I really need to get something done, I use the Pomodoro Method, too. It’s essentially where you work for 25 minutes and take either a short 5 minute break or a longer 10 minute break. I found a free timer online and I have it saved as a favorite. The visual reminder when I’m working is a constant reminder. I still get sidetracked, but when that timer goes... Source: over 2 years ago

  • Absolute beginner… how to keep a space clean?
Have you heard of the tomato technique? It's kind of obvious, but it's how I wrote my dissertation! https://tomato-timer.com/ If you're working from home (or studying), you could spend 25 minutes working, 100% work time (insofar as that is possible), then when the timer goes off, you pick up one thing, put it away, and take your five minute break. Rinse, repeat. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I really really need help with this and idk where else to ask
