  • Daily General Discussion - June 17, 2023
Well for my EVM I scaled it down to its actual pixel size, the original file is 640x680 but the "pixels" are 10x10, so I scaled it down to 64x68 (I use paint.net for such things). I saved that as an 8-bit PNG because that was the smallest version, that brought it down to 1145 bytes. I then just googled "optimize PNG", found https://tinypng.com/ and used that, which got me the 859 byte file. Source: 10 months ago
  • JPG to WebP
You don't need such large-resolution images. I suggest you scale down the images, run them through TinyPNG, download the compressed images, upload them to your site and use lazy loading. Also, why not just spend some time (I've no idea how many images you have uploaded) and convert them to WebP? Source: 11 months ago
