  • Is Carl Sagan Wrong?
True, this, and all one has to do is look at solar noon altitudes from any place on earth on web sites like timeanddate.com. It helps when anybody local can verify these numbers (I used them to build a sundial so discrepancies would be noticed). Source: 11 months ago
  • Star Gazing Prediction Algorithm?

  • I feel this scene doesn’t get talked about enough, despite how absolutely nerve wracking and well written it is.
I always wondered if it's a satire of https://timeanddate.com - except that's probably not as well known as it deserves to be. Source: 11 months ago
  • Did you know? In the time it took scientists to discover it, let it be a planet for 76 years, take away its planet status, say it might be a planet again, then explore it and have its best pictures: Pluto didn't even completed a full orbit around the Sun
It takes Pluto 248.09 Earth years to complete one orbit around the sun. Plug that information into a timeanddate.com calculator along with its discovery date, and you'd find that Pluto will complete its first full orbit since its discovery on Monday, March 23, 2178. Source: 12 months ago
  • Question about timing for education on sf85p
Imagine the Earth revolving about the sun at the rate of about one revolution every 365.25 days. (If you don't know what a day is, imagine the Earth making one complete rotation about its polar axis.) Now imagine three of those revolutions. That's three years. Use of a calendar, or a web site like timeanddate.com, can help determine the date on which the Earth was in the same location vis-a-vis the sun three... Source: 12 months ago
  • My rental is along next April’s total solar eclipse path
According to timeanddate.com it's about 4 minutes. NASA's graphic makes it look about the same, maybe a tad less. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Why this shit is still happening?
Ironic I would see your post as I had the same idea to post nearly an identicle thought. Approximately six years overt stage for me and counting. Went to timeanddate.com and determined that's over 185,000,000 seconds. While recording with a hidden voice recorder what I considered someone entering my bedroom, I found out they were "grooming" me covertly eight months prior to the overt stage. I sympathize with you,... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Why is the moon always in the sky at night?
Next, work on your observational skills. Consider keeping a Moon journal and looking for the Moon every day and night, and writing down or even sketching what you see. Or use http://timeanddate.com to find the Moon rise and set time for your location, and see if it checks out. You can also use a free planetarium app on your phone to figure out where the Moon is at any given time — try the free app Star Chart for... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Legacy Takes Place in 1890 [screenshot from my playthrough]
I was curious if the Daily Prophet you see at the top had a date/day combo. I was very lucky in that they did, but did not have a year. However, a day/date combo works just as well. Using the ever trusty timeanddate.com to go through all the years from 1890-1899. And only 1890 had 1st September on a Monday. (See link) Image below of Daily Prophet you're shown at the beginning. • I have been worrying about the sun disappearing every single day since 2018
It all started back in mid-2018, I was 13 back then and used to watch scary videos a lot when I was younger. But, it all started when I saw a video from InsideAMind which was about a twitter account about an ARG where the sun disappearance. The video kinda freaked me out but I didn't think much of it. But, the next morning I woke up early, and notices I couldn't see the sun. I started to freak out and run around... Source: about 1 year ago

  • I left this forum a couple months ago to go elsewhere and learn. There’s not much info on tropical trees and to learn you must do. Someone told me on here I’ve been clip and growing for 6 months.. now at 9 months in - I am the clip and grow king🤣 anyways to all my buddys on here I’m doing well!
Google the native range of a plant. Find a city in that range. Go to https://timeanddate.com search the city. Pull up the climate tab. You'll have details for temp, precipitation, humidity. That's the majority of tropical care is understanding basic grow conditions. Otherwise a bonsai club is your best resource for knowledge. Source: over 1 year ago
