  • CHRIST BOT Mission Statement ✝️
So, here's what you'll all need to do, report this bot to reddit, and have theverge.com and all other sites as well, ars, wired and so on, to report about this being a "christian" bot, and thus, being a part of the rightwing/alt-right community, and point that finger as that (that might not be true, but it can certainly give the light of it, seeing how /u/spez might have some of them dollars from religious... • Is the general IT major capstone course easy or hard?
Do you have to cite external sources? What kind of sources can you use? Can you use something like theverge.com or do you have to use something like scientific research papers? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Question on The RSS Feeder App
Use the Add Feed 3 dot menu in the top right to search for feeds to add by site url i.e. theverge.com or npr.org. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Second time being called lazy for riding an ebike to work.
Nothing much to be done about someone dissing e-bikes but if you had the opportunity you could quote this, from theverge.com:. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Have you found any interesting new user created bots?
"OpenAI has launched a bug bounty, encouraging members of the public to find and disclose vulnerabilities in its AI services including ChatGPT. Rewards range from $200 for “low-severity findings” to $20,000 for “exceptional discoveries,” and reports are submittable via crowdsourcing cybersecurity platform Bugcrowd." • Firefox was very popular in 2012
On my Pixel 7 Pro I had to stop using it. It lags so bad when scrolling heavy pages. Guess it's just not optimized for it yet, but when scrolling e.g apple.com / theverge.com it's 5fps for me. Tried enabling/disabling uBlock etc, nothing helps. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Firefox on Pixel 7 Pro is really sluggish
I'm a big fan of firefox, but after getting my Pixel 7 Pro it's really bad. When going to image-heavy pages like theverge.com or apple.com the scrolling is like 5 fps. Guess it's something with Firefox not being optimized for Android 13 or the new Pixels? Anyone else experiencing this? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Here’s how much Apple charges for every part to fix your own MacBook.
Didn't know theverge.com was still around. I mean after the whole pc build video thing? Source: almost 2 years ago
  • T-Mobile home internet
From your link at theverge.com: "The service now covers more than 40 million homes, and earlier this spring, the company said it signed up its one-millionth customer.". Source: almost 2 years ago

Too much Elon stuff everywhere. The homepage of theverge.com is just splattered with different elon articles. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • SpaceX fires employees who signed open letter regarding Elon Musk
I'd like the journalist who wrote this to tell us how they fared slagging theverge.com and the company CEO. Source: about 2 years ago
  • weird ugly thin font
I think this may be because of the website's font choice. theverge.com also used to use a font that was unreadable on lower resolution screens, but their current font is decent. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Android acting weird in combination with pihole
After moving houses I have not used my pihole for a year because I was too lazy :)Since the router/modem provided by my ISP does not allow me to set a static IP I am configuring all my devices to use the pihole DNS.Apple devices and my smart tv work perfectly but my android phone blocking certain websites like theverge.com.The error in the browser is ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE.The exact same website work fine on all... • Apple Reportedly Plans Fix for $1,600 Studio Display's Disappointing Webcam
EDIT: Apparently I didn't take into account the fact that Windows and macOS' text rendering systems are different, so I guess that may explain why a 1080p display is enough for my Windows PC (unless I am visiting theverge.com, since they are using a font that seems to be "designed to look bad on 1080p displays"). • Erm why tf is Horizon £69.99 for the standard edition???
From theverge.com September2021 (and so far no changes regarding anything in this article including last paragraph, just look at UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection, 10 bucks for whoever already owns Uncharted4) "Sony is now planning to offer a free Horizon Forbidden West upgrade from PS4 to PS5. The U-turn follows widespread criticism after the company announced there would be no upgrade path for Horizon... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Linus Tech Tips think ad-blocking is piracy despite the fact that federal courts have proven this false many times
The issue we do have is when publisher greed takes over and starts driving everything they do. For example, look at theverge.com with and without adblocking. How many different types of ads are pushed to the user in a single session? Publisher logic always ends up with them asking "If I make X amount of money with one ad, why not run 10 ads?". • How to block outbrain and taboola $H1t but not block cookie pop-ups?
Oops, my mistake, I meant theverge.com, for example, https://www.theverge.com/2022/1/26/22902901/google-assistant-stop-command-no-hey-google-alarms above the comments. Source: over 2 years ago

It's now being reported on theverge.com:. Source: over 2 years ago
  • It’s 2022, and the Surface Duo still doesn’t have Android 11
Wow, theverge.com starts the year by running a Microsoft hatchet job. What a shock. Yes, that is sarcasm for the naive around here. So where is year starting coverage on the fact that Google has still not addressed the fact its flagship phones have issues with their own software (Android Auto for many)? How about Google turning its photo app into a subscription service while adding no features? How about the... Source: over 2 years ago

  • So idk if this is the right place for this but is it safe to have these consoles like this ? I was going to build a shelf and if this works it would make my job a bit easier.
