• Thoughts on never letting your cat outside?

  Your cat may or may not be capable of decimating ecosystems (with help from other cats of course). Your cat also may or may not be capable of getting irreversibly lost, which would be problematic if people assumed it was just an outdoor cat. The obvious solution is to keep them inside most of the time, and either walking them using a harness (not a collar), or else taking inspiration from this comic if you just...   I saw you mention getting a collar when he came back -- we have so many outdoor cats in this area that what I've done is get a bright orange collar as suggested by the Kitty Convict project, and embroider on there some variation of "GET ME HOME" and your phone number, so there's no ambiguity about where your buddy belongs.
