I don't think I have enough time to apply for the IRS IRIS application and get approved to receive a TCC number to e-file through IRIS (and I'd rather use a service anyway). Can anyone clarify if there is some sort of additional IRS issued key or number or something that or would need when getting set up in order to e-file for us which we wouldn't have because we've only ever paper filed? As long as your accounting software can export your contractor totals and you have their SSN or EINs, then just import that to tax1099.com and efile that. They also efile the 1096 which is the total the company paid to contractors. Source: over 1 year ago
But someone on here suggested tax1099.com. It only costs a few dollars, and seems like it works. Will this be OK? Source: almost 2 years ago
Did anybody else receive a sketchy looking 1099 email from tax1099.com? The email says to open an attachment and enter a password and this just screams a scam to me. Wanted to double check if anybody else has gotten it and if it's legit. Source: about 2 years ago
There is a thread on this topic at r/tax. I switched from Intuit's 1099 e-file service to tax1099.com this year. The workflow at tax1099.com is a bit different, but I managed to get the job done. One advantage of tax1099.com is support for multiple payers with a single account. Source: about 2 years ago
I also used to use the Intuit 1099 e-file service, which I liked it except that it didn't support more than one payer per account. I'm using tax1099.com this year, and have already generated a bunch of 1099-NECs for multiple payers using a single account. The IRS used to approve Intuit e-file requests with a day or so after they were submitted. The tax1099 1099-NECs submitted for e-file a week ago haven't been... Source: about 2 years ago
There seem to be a lot of options online, but I can't find reliable reviews for sites like: 1099online.com, tax1099.com, efile4biz.com, track1099.com, efile1099now.com, etc. Source: about 2 years ago
Created a 1099 MISC for Michigan. Michigan requires a state filing even if no tax is withheld. The website we used autofilled 40k as total for state income at the bottom of the 1099 all to MI - this was the grand total of the 1099. We failed to realize that the bottom state section should have had 10k MI and 30k OH. The tax1099.com website will not let me edit since it's already been submitted and efiled with... Better yet, go to tax1099.com and do it online for like $3. We send our clients to that website if they want to do it themselves. Source: about 2 years ago
I never use QB online to file 1099s. Use track1099.com tax1099.com or taxbandits.com. Why should I pay QB extra to do something that it should do. Additionally, once filed, they make it hard to get copies (which are always available in any of the three mentioned above). Source: about 2 years ago
As far as e-filing, check track1099.com and tax1099.com. I use them for 1099-NEC's and 941's, respectively. Source: over 2 years ago
I use both track1099.com and tax1099.com. QBDT will upload directly to tax1099.com if you have it set up correctly to process your 1099s, but I find track1099.com's to be a little more user friendly for the client's whose 1099s I manually input. Source: almost 3 years ago
For $5 you could do it on a 3rd party forms program like tax1099.com if you needed to file it yourself instead of using a payroll company. Source: about 3 years ago
You can track 1099 vendors in Bill.com and can export that info into a service like tax1099.com at year-end to generate 1099-NEC forms. However, I've never worked with tracking billable hours/contractor hours and using that with bill.com. I don't believe bill.com has any time tracking functionality. Source: about 3 years ago
I use tax1099.com. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good. Source: about 3 years ago
I got an email from tax1099.com and I'm located in Sweden, it says Dear "my lastname" and I've tried to login like it says on the document but it doesn't let me login for some reason. What should I do? Help please! Source: over 3 years ago
And you can do the 1099s on tax1099.com, which is what Desktop uses now, anyway. Super simple and online file. Source: almost 4 years ago
