Taiga is really convenient, it's a desktop app that uses and syncs your MAL/AL/Kitsu list. It recognises when you're watching an episode (either through an official streaming site, or downloaded) and updates your list (can also be done manually in one click), it can also set your discord status as "watching XXX", which I find interesting. The interface is basic but fast, it's easy to browse your anime by score,... Source: 5 months ago
The closest that comes to mind is Taiga, but I've not used it so I can't speak to how well it works offline. Source: over 1 year ago
I used to pay for anime services, but they're all just so bad in their own ways like trash sites or censorship that I canceled and started yarring. If you're not afraid to set sail and use a VPN (which I always recommend), you can use something like taiga.moe which not only lets you connect to a tracker like anilist, but also lets you search torrents for individual episodes and complete seasons. I just use a program called Taiga that automatically syncs with my AniList account when I watch stuff on my computer, it adds started and finished date, etc. And AniList has a pretty rich stats page if that's your thing. Source: over 1 year ago
Basically Taiga is a open source app to keep track anime shows you have watched and update your list in an online DB like Myanimelist/Anilist, etc. Source: over 1 year ago
I use Anilist with Taiga for automated list updates and automail for some extra features/data on the website. Source: over 1 year ago
Regardless of what you choose, https://taiga.moe/ is a must because it allows you to automatically update your list without ever going to the sites themselves. Watch episode -> close window -> list auto-updates. Source: almost 2 years ago
Not related to streaming, but there's already programs (eg. Taiga) that do that for downloaded anime. Given that the functionality for such already exists, and MAL at least seems happy to collaborate with official licensors, it should be pretty easy for them to incorporate such if they wanted. I personally just use taiga so 1. Entries are automatically updated to anilist as I watch and 2. Downloads are automatic for continuing shows (seasonals and currently being fansubbed) so I just come to my computer and middle click them from the list to watch. Source: over 2 years ago
I'm not sure of the actual benefits, but I use it because it's super easy to transfer the anime to my phone (I have a large external hard drive so I have a couple hundred anime I can transfer to my phone at any time). It's also nice having it connected to taiga to auto track my anime. Also, no buffering. Source: over 2 years ago
Anilist. Switched from MAL because of the UI and not having Taiga support. I still use MAL to search stuff and I sync my anime list frequently as a backup. Source: almost 3 years ago
You can use taiga its taiga.moe I think you will prob no have any prob cuz you prob download anime and watch it and you can change the anime soo use taiga its super easy tho if you still have a prob dm me RavenZ#2828. Source: about 3 years ago
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but well, there's Taiga or you could look for alternatives. Source: about 3 years ago
Taiga! It's really handy for keeping your anime list at hand and organising it. Source: about 3 years ago
It's a set of instructions telling you how to make your program talk to another program. I use third party app to update my watching progress (Taiga) and since MAL disabled their API due to some vulnerability I couldn't use it anymore. I was tired of waiting for them to fix it, so I just decided to move to another site and I never looked back. Source: about 3 years ago
I recommend using Taiga with Anilist (although I think Taiga also works with MAL now, still, I prefer AL). It's a very useful app that lets you see your list easily, it also updates episode you watch automatically (if you use official streaming or if you have the anime downloaded, it doesn't track illegal streaming sites iirc). It also keeps track of the anime you have downloaded if that's what you do, so when you... Source: about 3 years ago
