  • [Online] [Other] [Palladium Megaversal] [Tuesday EST 11am/GMT +2 5pm] After the Bomb 1666: The Devils of New Jersey
Other considerations --I'm going to use tableplop https://new.tableplop.com/ for the VTT. Just positioning and potentially rolling dice (I also have a 3d dice room) -- no automation. If you're looking for a theater of the mind game, this won't be a good fit -- I like/enjoy battlemaps and tokens and make fancy ones. Source: 7 months ago
  • A call for desperate help.
I recommend https://new.tableplop.com/ Simple and only took me like an afternoon to get the hang of it. I use dungeon draft for map making and it works pretty good too. Source: 12 months ago
  • keep on the borderlands lets play by post here read for more info.
If the group wants we could use some online service for the visual part of the encounters like this service https://new.tableplop.com/ all narration and reply goes here to keep it play by post. Source: about 1 year ago
  • are there any new VTTs that are good
If you want something simple like Owlbear, what about TablePlop it has the simplicity of Owlbear while having Character Sheets like Roll20. You can send pre typed messages in the chat for rolls, you can do rolls yourself, it even has fog of war. I have been using this ever since it's beta stages and I love it. haven't changed VTTs ever since. Source: about 1 year ago
  • If the best VTT solution was 2 Apps?
Currently on https://new.tableplop.com, amazed that it is not mentioned much. Owlbear with just a little bit more while staying simple. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Virtual gaming. (2 part question)
The type of software you're looking for is called VTT (virtual tabletop). It sounds like you only need something basic without complex SRD-specific mechanics. I can recommend simplistic VTTs such as Owlbear Rodeo, Tableplop, or Mythic Table. There are more complex alternatives like Foundry, Roll20, or Fantasy Grounds. But to be honest : they turn your DnD into overly tactical wargame distraction fests! A barebones... Source: about 1 year ago
  • What are some easy to use online tools for maps/diagrams
TablePlop is lesser known but not bad. It's cloud hosted, has a free base tier of service, but you can pledge through Patreon to get more storage space plus some extra features. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Not purchased yet - Exporting to VTTs
So, this programme looks amazing for Map Generation; really fun and great detail. But how do people use them in game? My games tend to use Tableplop (https://new.tableplop.com/) because it's so lightweight and simple to work with - there's almost zero learning curve with it. Source: over 1 year ago
  • [5e w/ Houserules][Discord or RPG Crossing or Mythweavers Form (to be decided)][Mythic Odysseys of Theros]Homebrew Campaign in Theros
I will be creating some of my own maps that will be high res. And large in size. I'll upload them on an uguu.se or pomf.se clone or EasyZoom. You'll need a computer that can handle that kind of material. I may use something like https://new.tableplop.com or https://tarrasque.io/signup for maps. Again, you need to have access to a computer if it won't run on mobile (I have no idea, and that's not a concern of mine... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking to do my first Discord RPG and need help
For simple map tracking, and fog of war I use tableplop. https://new.tableplop.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Bit of a weird question, how usable do you think pathfinder is for Play-by-post games?
As for the maps, I believe PF2 doesn't lend itself well to ToTM games. I strongly suggest to use Tableplop https://new.tableplop.com, which I find to be perfect for PbP, but Google Slides also works OK on desktop (can be frustrating on mobile though). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Bit of a weird question, how usable do you think pathfinder is for Play-by-post games?
I'm a discord GM for most of my games. It works fine, but for combat it's way easier to use Tableplop because the tactical aspects shine better. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How would one add positions to a battlemap
For PbP games I run, we use TablePlop. People can log in whenever and draw things on the map or move their tokens around. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What is your favorite resource for quick battlemaps
I quickly download these and then import them to https://new.tableplop.com/ which is a decent, free browser based VTT with a very easy learning curve. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Anyother sites other then Roll20?
Another free one is https://www.beyondtabletop.com/ but I’ve never used it at all. Ditto https://new.tableplop.com/ I’m sure there are others but those are the ones I’m familiar with. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Seeking DM Experience
Tableplop is another free vtt and much easier than roll20. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Watching from the sidelines
Https://new.tableplop.com/ is also great, simple, free and just received an update. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What's a good cheap VTT I should use?
I highly recommend to check it out Https://new.tableplop.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Best Program to use dungeondraft maps with?
Tableplop is my favorite. It doesn’t have the restrictive upload limits that roll20 has. Tableplop also let’s you put multiple maps in the same scene. I used it to toggle night or day versions of my maps. Tableplop is also free to use and awesome for quickly getting at up. I also love the token system as it makes it easy to keep track or add more enemies. It’s easy to use from both a player and DM side. I love it.... Source: about 2 years ago
  • Play by post tips
Just to add on to this, lately I've been using Tableplop for PbP maps and liking it. It's not perfect by any means, but it's less clunky than some of the other VTTs I've tried for the purpose (Roll20, Foundry, Maptool, map images in Google Slides. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I've heard of players needing a DM but am I the first DM to need players?
TablePlop is another good VTT. I appreciate the minimalist interface. Source: over 2 years ago
