I like the Substack app - for all the substack newsletters. https://substack.com/app) is pretty good. I just wish I could plug in RSS and other syndication feeds, and make it easy to migrate subscriptions from my mail inbox to the reader. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

High quality blog articles Writing blog articles is a great way to (1) solidify your understanding on a topic and (2) show readers and potential employers your understanding. Solidifying your understanding is really important for your personal development, and will prove useful when an interviewer quizzes you on hard technical concepts and you are able to impress them with your concise and comprehensive... If you just wanted to write about whatever you wanted and not bother with the hassle of SEO and maintenance, then if I had my time over I'd probably be more inclined to use something like Substack where at least you can get subscribers and communicate with them and publish your content at the same time. I'd go with Substack (https://substack.com/) or Ghost (https://ghost.org/). Substack it's easy (and free) to set up. You have the option to turn on subscriptions and monetise your content via Stripe. Ghost gives you more flexibility / personalisation. You'll need some web coding/hosting skills or you can subscribe to one of their plans (starts at $9/mo). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

If I had to recomment anything, it's using Substack to cultivate an audience that subscribes via email. It sidesteps the algorithm problem (but doesn't kill it), and also has a lot of infrastructure for things (free podcast hosting, subscriber paywalls, etc). The site seems to be a big attempt at reviving blogging culture, but from what I've found there isn't a lot of gaming/esports writing being done there yet. Source: over 1 year ago

Blogging nowadays has been made a lot lot lot more easier than it used to be earlier. There are a lot of apps which let you create a blogging account where you can post your blogs and you get free SEO and views as it’s more of a community rather than being just an app where lakhs of people browse through the blogs posted on the app. If I were to name a few of them they would be HashNode, Dev.to, SubStack and even... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
