It should be genuine. I've never heard of any issues. You can also use http://spek.cc/ to check the authenticity of files, and that they haven't been re-encoded. Most legit flacs will have no cutoff, and 320mp3 will cut off at 20hz. - Source: Reddit / 11 days ago
Try converting a few wavs and see if you notice the difference. Use a quality converter like the one in iTunes (uses the Fraunhofer codec which is superior to LAME) and set to Custom MP3, 44100, Stereo, YES Smart Adjustments, and NO filter frequencies below 10Hz. You can check that the compresssion has not sacrificed much quality with something like the Spek spectrum analyzer app. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Dont belive me. Try analizing your video after you post it them in this http://spek.cc/. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Does anyone here knows what program is used in this? I only know Spek but this has different colors. I tried searching but I can't find any. Thanks! - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago

Fakinthefunk isn’t accurate use Spek and check yourself. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
I can recommend Spek for that, but I don’t remember if it accepts video files as an input. You might need to use some other software like ffmpeg (terminal-only, but you can use ffWorks instead) to extract the audio tracks first. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
You can check FLAC files quality on PC using a program called spek, also musicbee can show you track information for eg. 16/24 bit FLAC, 44.1/48 kHz 1620k, stereo and on phone I only know of Salt Player that shows information like this. Salt player is very powerful but it's Chinese. Available on PlayStore, github and their telegram channel. I love this player but don't understand their privacy policy and they've... - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
Besides looking at the bitrate (minimum 256kbit/s AAC or 320kbit/s MP3) I use Spek to analyze the sound spectrum of the track. If the spectrum does not go up to 20 kHz the quality is too low. - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
Always make sure to check if the files you're getting are actually HQ flacs or wavs using Spek: http://spek.cc/. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
Use spekto see if your files are the real deal. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I recorded with Audacity and then analyzed with Speck. I use a Fiio X3III as a DAC. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago

If you want to be extra sure about the quality of the mp3 you should give Spek a shot,. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I would say use spek ( http://spek.cc/ ) to check how much of the actual audio frequency are retained in the 256kbps mp3. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I'm not familiar with Fakin' the Funk. How reliable is it? Have you double-checked and analyzed those files yourself? I wouldn't be surprised that those files could be a false positive. Can you post spectrograms of those files? You can use spek to display spectrograms of your audio files. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
Use this app to analyze your tracks - replace the ones that are not at the quality they say (20hz + is your threshold). - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
Of course depending on the song it could be lossy mastered (the artist or label delivers a lossy version to streaming services) but those are relatively uncommon, check the spectrals with Spek. - Source: Reddit / 12 months ago
I am looking for something like spek. - Source: Reddit / 12 months ago
With a spectrum analysis, which can be done with something like Spek: http://spek.cc/. - Source: Reddit / 12 months ago
