    Beginner-Friendly

Really, really good for beginners. A variety of instruments and free sounds all on the browser for free! (Though some of the instruments and sounds require payment per month to use). Great site, although I wish there was a little more instruments that I could use in my music. But that's my only issue with it. If you're looking for a program to start making music, Soundtrap is the answer. So good, and would recommend 100% to anyone who wants an easy to learn music program.

  • I want to start making Stop Motion videos, how Can I start, what setup fo I need?
You might want to sequence everything on Blender (www.blender.org) and make the audio on soundtrap (soundtrap.com). Make sure it all syncs up and then combine the image sequence and audio on blenders video sequencer. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What site/app can I use where I can record/ edit inside of and someone else can log in and finish editing.
I taught a lot virtual podcasting for middle schoolers over the pandemic and we used soundtrap.com, which is spotify's DAW and is on a browser (so its super accessible). It's certainly not the best DAW, but worked great for collaboration. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • it's very painful
Anybody have a music source? Sounds exactly like a loop track I recognize from soundtrap.com lmao. Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Songs with meaning
Soundtrap.com is a good free site for beat/music making that doesn't require any downloading, it was my default choice for creating audios for a long time. it's for both music and podcasts also and contains a lot of free samples, but you have to pay for many better features. The website's a good starting point though. Source: about 2 years ago
  • what to do during quarantine?
Soundtrap.com is free and there's a bunch of tutorials on YouTube. Make some tunes. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Are there any mobile or browser based software that allows one to scrub audio while also seeing the time code easily?
Best thing I found was "soundtrap.com" which works great on desktop and would be the perfect solution, albeit needing to do a bit of math since their time code in that app isn't too precise. The thing that makes it not so perfect is that it's functionality is close to garbage on mobile, both their app and the in browser version. Im finding myself hating the future because everyone has phones that cant do any real... Source: about 2 years ago
  • I've made an open-source Eurorack synthesiser module using the Raspberry Pi Pico!
So I like to compare most DAW's to photoshop. Which means they are super complicated and can do anything you want, but because of that they are super complicated. When starting out using a slimmed down, more simple daw can help get you going a bit faster. For a simple easy to use daw check out soundtrap.com Its a web based DAW with pretty basic multitrack features. Its very easy to use though with not a lot of... Source: about 2 years ago
  • cant afford a tape machine so i did the next best thing and got me the Makeout Videotape machine
I wish I could record my music on a tape machine but I just use soundtrap.com instead. Source: over 2 years ago
  • bedroom pop - collaborating in soundtrap
Would anyone like to collaborate on a bedroom pop ting with me? Vocals or production is cool. Nothing serious, just want it to sound decent and release like in a few weeks. Btw I will be colaborating with you via soundtrap.com, so make sure you have an account! Source: over 2 years ago
  • Need help finding hyper pop sounds
If you go to soundtrap.com and sign up as an educator you get like a month free. This comes with several sounds for free- and once your month is up just make another account and continue lol. They release different packs every month. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I want to start making music
First things first: I highly recommend you create an account on soundtrap.com This is a free online recording studio that has tons of instruments that you can experiment with and it has a simple interface that's beginner friendly. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • A videogame piece
If you're going to write music of this style, I would suggest using more of an electronic music software. No offense to Musescore, they are great for beginners that can't afford expensive software, but their instrument sounds are pretty bad. You can look into soundtrap.com They are fairly simple to learn, give you access to quite a few sounds, and, most importantly, they are free. Might be something for you to... • Are DAWs useful without any midi instruments?
I love making music but I don't have any electrical instruments. The tutorials I watch on youtube they all have some sort of an external keyboard. Right now I'm using soundtrap.com but it is nowhere near a professional DAW in terms of effects and automations. That website is really easy to use however because it gives you many instruments and synths. When I open up a DAW there's only like piano, flute, trumpet,... Source: about 3 years ago
  • Music Creation App - What Can I Use?
Audacity, Finale Notepad, Garage Band, Musescore, and soundtrap.com are all services you can also use that are all free to use. They might not perfectly give you what you want, but it's something you can look into. Source: about 3 years ago
