• What is the quickest/most practical way to make podcast clips? Selecting clips, trimming, exporting etc etc.

  Do you have a budget? If so, there's this tool I've worked with called Sonix that generates transcripts of what you feed into it. It's not super accurate, but it's good enough. One of the features is that you can "highlight" chunks of text, and have it spit out an XML that will have a sequence containing only the highlighted text. Source: about 1 year ago

  Sonix was the one I used because it had 30 free minutes and the video was only 10-11 minutes long. It seems to have done a really decent job, but not sure if that's because the source audio is pretty clear. Source: about 1 year ago

• Does anyone here have experience with Closed Caption Creator, AWS Transcribe or other software/services used for closed captioning/subtitling? I am searching for software to reliably create subtitles with finished timestamps automatically, no audio transcription necessary.

  Searching, found a software called Closed Caption Creator, tried using Amazon Web Services for their AI Transcription, was told of uploading to Youtube and let their auto-caption algorithm try to generate subtitles for download, tried other web services like Konch and Sonix.ai (used for transcription of audio). Closed Caption Creator is paid software, so I can't research if it can do what I am after, AWS, Konch... Source: almost 3 years ago

  If you prefer, you could just grab that same adapter and plug the recorder into your phone or tablet and then just the voice memo or sound recorder app of your choice. Depending on your device the Google Recorder can also auto-transcribe the audio for you.
