I started conversing with the author of SIV on the Corsair forum many years ago. We still chat on occasion, usually when he adds a new feature he wants to test on various systems. When I got into Aquacomputer devices, I helped him add support for them. The code is way over my head but I can try the beta versions and report what works and what doesn't until he nails it. If you are interested, you can find SIV at... Source: 10 months ago
Http://rh-software.com/ hwinfo got nothin on this It way more information in a way more condensed form Maybe not everyone's tea but its really good too. Source: 11 months ago
I got fed up with Corsair back in the Link days and have been using a program called SIV to control my Corsair PWM and RGB controllers for years. SIV (not Gigabyte's SIV) is a system monitoring program similar to HWINFO but more expansive. The author of SIV got fed up with Corsair's buggy software so he reverse-engineered their protocols and added support for many Corsair products to SIV. SIV is extremely... Source: 11 months ago
Icue doesn't "block" other applications. It just shoots out polling requests like a drunk soldier with a machine gun, with no regard for other polling requests. The annoying part of this is that the author of SIV was helping Corsair improve their code and showed them how to properly implement the polling mutex, which they did in the later versions of Corsair Link. When they rolled out Icue, they decided that the... Source: about 1 year ago
I am not sure why it says `0x0000`, which implies that the ROM is not being read at all. This is the case regardless whether I pass in a ROM file or not. It might be worth noting that I had a lot of trouble extracting the ROM and managed to do this on a native Windows 11 install using System Information Viewer. Source: about 1 year ago
You can find lots of details about your computers hardware by using SIV system information viewer. SIV: http://rh-software.com. Source: over 1 year ago
As for corsairs devices, I've got two sets of advice 1. Never buy anything without hardware memory again 2. Try SIV http://rh-software.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
System Information Viewer Can show lots of hardware information but I prefer HWiNFO64. Source: over 1 year ago
Sure can http://rh-software.com/ system information viewer. Will take you a few minutes to work out where everything is but should give you what you need and is even portable. Source: almost 2 years ago
SIV (not Gigabyte's SIV) is also very good, While its not quite as polished as HWINFO, SIV is the most powerful system monitoring software that I am aware of. The SIV website is pretty dated and the SIV GUIDE is hard to look at, but the program can pull up a ton of system data. As an added bonus, the author of SIV got so fed up with Corsair's buggy software that he reverse engineered their control protocols and... Source: about 2 years ago
If you just want Rainbow with some basic control (like brightness), then OpenRGB should be able to do it. SIV (mentioned above) can control Corsair's RGB controllers. SIV is really a very powerful system monitoring program (similar to HWINFO). The author got so fed up with Corsair's buggy software that he reverse engineered a lot of it and added control of Corsair products to SIV. SIV is written for people who... Source: over 2 years ago
In Windows, verify that you are getting 2000Mhz x 2 RAM speed (and dual channel) in windows with SIV, CPU-z or similar. Source: over 2 years ago
You can install System Information Viewer from here. It has 64 and 32 bit versions. Along the bottom of the window there is a PCI tab. You should see the card identify itself as a VGA adapter, and it will be identified as a GT-710 (I have one, so I've seen it). Source: almost 3 years ago
If a value is missing I would strongly suggest SIV http://rh-software.com/. Source: about 3 years ago
