I've only added one extra blocklist into the blocker. I have added one application bypass: I've installed Samsung Internet and placed it in the app bypass list and ONLY access sharedrop.io with it. Sharedrop is a great quick and dirty (and local network only) transfer program that doesn't work while under the blocker, so I made a desktop and bookmark link that only goes to that page. Everything else stays... - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
If you are on the same network, you can try https://sharedrop.io. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
i've seen it go down from time to time, then use sharedrop.io. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Snapdrop.net (although it's usually down. :-( ) Sharedrop.io (same thing, but newer and up.) BOTH of these transfer files locally, NOT going thru a 3rd system (such as gmail does). - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
For file transfer you don't really need an app at all, you can use https://sharedrop.io By default it will transfer over the local network and it is cross platform including iOS. If you are transferring Android to Android nearby share is still faster though. There is another similar service called snapdrop but that one doesn't have the option to transfer over the internet via QR code, plus from testing recently,... - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Nice, I was looking for a sharedrop.io replacement 👍. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
I've looked... But its seems there isn't an application based solution without requiring app indicator support which is something that eOS doesn't officially have. If you're comfortable modding eOS to have app indicator support you can then use LanDrop or use KDE Connect with an app indicator. You can also use sharedrop.io or snapdrop.net. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
- sharedrop.io works, but copying is slow, and only 1 file at a time. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
Snapdrop and Sharedrop can be used to transfer files between devices on the same local network as long as both devices have an internet browser installed. Connects to other devices on the same local network via WebRTC p2p. Does require an internet connection to discover other local devices though. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
So like snapdrop.net or sharedrop.io but needs installing and only works on Linux. And they are web based clones of Apple's Airdrop. - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
Sharedrop.io works as posted above. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
Sharedrop.io... This one works perfect. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
If you just want to share files between 2 people try sharedrop.io. - Source: Reddit / 12 months ago
I guess I could use sharedrop.io for certain files, but it doesn't give detailed transfer stats. And you're limited by filesize for long testing or to weed out intermittent bandwidth/latency issues. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
If all you want is just a method to share within local network, snapdrop.net or sharedrop.io are you best solutions, cross platform. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Alternatively there's also sharedrop.io which is a free P2P web app for transferring files between devices, just open the web page on your Deck and PC and drag and drop the files. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
If you are open to other techniques try sharedrop.io or snapdrop.net. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Regarding airdrop alternatives: There's sharedrop.io and snapdrop.net that's basically like airdrop. I think sharedrop.io works better for me and there's an option to sync via qr code. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I usually use https://sharedrop.io for transferring files. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Since remote support software like Teamviewer and Splashtop work pretty much off UPnP (meaning no ports have to be forwarded on the router either side) is there a portable quick and easy program that can be ran at both ends to transfer files directly over the internet? Basically sharedrop.io but over WAN instead of LAN, or FTP without the need of forwarding ports/setting up the FTP server, or P2P/Torrents without... - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Just sharedrop.io to easily share between browser and P2P, open the website on both devices and see the magic happen. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
