  • Which web browser (apart from Firefox) do you use and why?
Can you check if sharedrop.io is working on Mull? On my device, it can see the other party but it can't save file. Source: 11 months ago
  • P2P File Transfer
I googled about it, so im here to ask. Aren't there any APP that does P2P file sharing anymore? I found a website called sharedrop.io and it seems to work, but Im looking for alternatives. Source: 12 months ago
  • How to setup Adguard Ad Blocker, Adguard DNS and Adguard VPN best to work together on Android?
I've only added one extra blocklist into the blocker. I have added one application bypass: I've installed Samsung Internet and placed it in the app bypass list and ONLY access sharedrop.io with it. Sharedrop is a great quick and dirty (and local network only) transfer program that doesn't work while under the blocker, so I made a desktop and bookmark link that only goes to that page. Everything else stays... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Can i send files through email directly to my boox device instead of sending them through the BooxApp?
If you are on the same network, you can try https://sharedrop.io. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Airdrop equivalent? How Did They Do This? Just moved from Mac to pc. It was soo easy to upload short video clips quickly with airdrop to my Mac. Now I have a rog m16 and Dropbox is too many steps/too slow Snapdrop was glitchy and also pretty slow. Please help!
i've seen it go down from time to time, then use sharedrop.io. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The world loves a #ThrowbackThursday. So I ask you: what discontinued app do you miss the most?
Snapdrop.net (although it's usually down. :-( ) Sharedrop.io (same thing, but newer and up.) BOTH of these transfer files locally, NOT going thru a 3rd system (such as gmail does). Source: over 1 year ago
  • What apps did you lose because of "64-bit only" enforcement in Pixel 7 series, and what are you replacing them with?
For file transfer you don't really need an app at all, you can use https://sharedrop.io By default it will transfer over the local network and it is cross platform including iOS. If you are transferring Android to Android nearby share is still faster though. There is another similar service called snapdrop but that one doesn't have the option to transfer over the internet via QR code, plus from testing recently,... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Beta Testing a free, unlimited and private File Transfer website
Nice, I was looking for a sharedrop.io replacement 👍. Source: over 1 year ago
  • KDE Connect / Air drop equivalent for Elementary OS 6.1
I've looked... But its seems there isn't an application based solution without requiring app indicator support which is something that eOS doesn't officially have. If you're comfortable modding eOS to have app indicator support you can then use LanDrop or use KDE Connect with an app indicator. You can also use sharedrop.io or snapdrop.net. • The file transfer situation absolutely terrible.
    - sharedrop.io works, but copying is slow, and only 1 file at a time. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Offline Transfering App
Snapdrop and Sharedrop can be used to transfer files between devices on the same local network as long as both devices have an internet browser installed. Connects to other devices on the same local network via WebRTC p2p. Does require an internet connection to discover other local devices though. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The real use case for Linux for an ordinary person?
So like snapdrop.net or sharedrop.io but needs installing and only works on Linux. And they are web based clones of Apple's Airdrop. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Best tool/app for transferring (video) files from iPhone to PC?
Sharedrop.io works as posted above. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Best tool/app for transferring (video) files from iPhone to PC?

  • Do I need a private tracker?
If you just want to share files between 2 people try sharedrop.io. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Any way to run iPerf-style point-to-point bandwidth testing in a browser?
I guess I could use sharedrop.io for certain files, but it doesn't give detailed transfer stats. And you're limited by filesize for long testing or to weed out intermittent bandwidth/latency issues. Source: about 2 years ago
  • if stupid prizes was a lottery getting stuck in the laundry machine is a jackpot winner.
If all you want is just a method to share within local network, snapdrop.net or sharedrop.io are you best solutions, cross platform. Source: about 2 years ago

Alternatively there's also sharedrop.io which is a free P2P web app for transferring files between devices, just open the web page on your Deck and PC and drag and drop the files. Source: about 2 years ago

  • One year later; I might move back to Android | Follow up to my post from last year titled "Almost 10 years Android user, finally switched over to an iPhone 11 Pro."
Regarding airdrop alternatives: There's sharedrop.io and snapdrop.net that's basically like airdrop. I think sharedrop.io works better for me and there's an option to sync via qr code. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Sending large files from paperspace to my pc
I usually use https://sharedrop.io for transferring files. Source: over 2 years ago
