I've been using Republic Wireless since around 2010. They are a hybrid provider supporting both Wi-Fi and cellular talk/text/data. $20 a month for basic unlimited calling/text with 1 GB of data; $5 per additional GB. Their unlimited plan is $40. There is a 50% discount on a second line, so 2 lines with unlimited data will run you $60 per month. Source: about 2 years ago
I use Republic Wireless. Piggybacks on T-mobile's network. $15/month for unlimited text and call and $5/month per 1Gb data. I am almost always on WiFi on my phone, and almost never go over, but I can pay $5 for each extra 1Gb. I pay annually and get two months free, for a total of $200/year. Best of all, no contract. https://republicwireless.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Republic Wireless is the same idea of using wifi calling to lower costs, and it's been around for years longer than Google-Fi. Plus I like the idea of not having Google involved in everything I do. https://republicwireless.com/. Source: almost 3 years ago
You might also consider Republic Wireless, they're a reseller of the Verizon network. If you're not a huge data user, you can get a 1GB plan for $20 / mo. If you need more than that, it's $5 / GB. Source: about 3 years ago
