RAWG is the largest video games database in the world with over 300,000 titles. The database is 100% community-driven, any person can contribute to it. More than that, RAWG is a service for organizing your backlog and wishlist, tracking what you play, searching, and discovering your next favorite game.
I am new to React and it feels like I run into trouble at every turn while I'm coding. Basically there's a project cloning rawg.io and in the course you build an app similar to rawg, without all the fancy features (just a project to add on a portfolio). When I first tried deploying to Vercel, the site deployed but when I opened it I get a 404 error. I figured I would try the same thing on Netlify and no luck. I... Source: 5 months ago
I've been using https://rawg.io/, it has a simpler interface than howlongtobeat. Source: 9 months ago
Go on this site: https://rawg.io/ Look up a game similar to yours, and boom you can see the actual Steam tags set by the developers. Source: 11 months ago
I havent used all these, so your milage may vary, but I was looking for a similar thing not long ago. Https://www.backloggd.com Https://rawg.io Https://wetheplayers.com Https://www.grouvee.com/ Https://gamelib.app/explore Https://backloggery.com/ Https://playnite.link/ There's also just using a spreadsheet, or Notion with a good template. Https://rawg.io/ is the only website I've found that actually shows the what tags the creators set and what order they're in. Basically just mix and match what other games like your game have done. Source: about 1 year ago
It's been four and a half months since I started learning coding through The Odin Project and I wanted to make a project where I showcase what I've learned so far. I used rawg.io free api for games data, firebase for backend, redux for state management, framer-motion for animations, formik for forms, tailwind for styling and etc. I still have a lot to learn and because of that I am open to any kind of feedback... Thank you so much, https://rawg.io/ was kinda what I was looking for, too bad it's missing EpicGames, Origin, uPlay and Twitch library connections. Source: over 1 year ago
Recently I was doing the tags for my game... And no matter what I did I couldn't get the most popular games in the genre to show up under the "tagged like this section." I feel like that's pretty important for getting noticed by fans of that genre, so I did some digging and came across this website: https://rawg.io/. Source: over 1 year ago
Would like something that is as popular as Myanimelist for anime. I use rawg.io and themediapedia.com . People haven't mentioned about either of these anywhere. I personally never heard of the ggapp. Source: about 2 years ago

Well, as I've in my original post igdb.com is somewhat considered the IMDB equivalent when it comes to video games. Then there's the STEAM site (which is limited to PC games of course) and https://rawg.io appears to be quite good too. Here are the pages for the same game from all three sites. The approach I came up with (again, if there's a better/easier way to deal with this let me know) is using getElementById commands to grab various parts (game description, url of the trailer on Youtube, developer) from their page on sites such as Steam, igdb.com and https://rawg.io/ (these seem to be the most complete), store them as variables then use them to fill corresponding fields in the program. I do use... Source: almost 3 years ago

Developer deleted their reddit account and they changed their name on GitHub as well. If you want something that is "Finished" but still in development, Vapor Store is there on the subreddit megathread, though its currently broken due to its API Key expiring on rawg.io. Vapor Store will be back shortly once everything is fixed. Source: almost 3 years ago
