  • Stopping MDNSResponder from Sneakily Using DoH for DNS Lookups on macOS Ventura
Agreed, though I combine using Little Snitch with Radio Silence: https://radiosilenceapp.com Little Snitch is great for when I want hyper granular control of a specific app's network permissions while Radio Silence gives me a super quick way to just block EVERYTHING for a particular app right away without even opening it the first time. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Little Snitch Mini
I'm using radio silence for years and it is awesome :) https://radiosilenceapp.com. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • Do You Use A 3rd Party Firewall App On Your Mac ?
Forgot to mention Radio Silence (commercial), seen by many as an easier introduction vs Little Snitch. Source: over 1 year ago
  • A little help
Sorry for the late reply. I use Lulu which should be enough, but I also simultaneously use Radio Silence to be safe. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Little Snitch vs TripMode 3 - monitoring my web traffic
Little Snitch (LS) is considered by many to be the gold standard. The aforementioned Lulu has a good reputation. The app Hands Off! Appears to be no longer developed (site offline). Then there's Radio Silence that may well fit your needs. Finally, one or more apps by Murus may be of interest but AFAIK these are not easy to configure and may be overkill for the average Mac user. I'm not familiar with TripMode. Source: about 2 years ago
  • TripMode 3 vs Little Snitch
You also can look for RadioSilence. Although I guess TripMode 3 is the easiest way to go. Https://radiosilenceapp.com. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Little Snitch Sale $29 (Was $45) Ending Soon
Get Radio Silence: https://radiosilenceapp.com/ — I'm using it myself instead of Little Snitch. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Paused backups keep resuming
I’m using bb on a Windows pc but on the Mac you could try https://radiosilenceapp.com or Little Snitch to cut internet access to bb whenever you wish. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is it still true that Bear(note taking app) tries to connect to copied URLs?
When you copy and paste a link into Bear.app, the application tries to connect to the URL to identify the Open Graph metadata, if there is any, and then embeds the relevant parts (title, description, image, etc.) into the document you are editing. Nothing malicious, but if you care about your privacy, then consider blocking all outgoing connections using a firewall like Little Snitch or Radio Silence. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Can I force-deny internet access to the Apple-related tasks that firewalls (like Little Snitch) are allowing by default?
Radio Silence (not free, but not expensive). Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Ableton 10 suddenly deauthorized (macOS Big Sur)
Either always use it with internet off or get https://radiosilenceapp.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • How to know if our data are not sent to the developers without our knowing?
For the second step, they can use one of these applications: Little Snitch, LuLu, Radio Silence, Vallum, Murus, among others. Source: almost 3 years ago
