  • An advantage of the tabbed File Explorer is less memory consumption. On my PC each File Explorer opened alone increases the memory consumption of the explorer.exe process by about 10Mb, but each new tab only increases by about 1Mb. Test yourself to see if you get the same results.

Explorer - QTTabBar - Adds tabs to Explorer, and there is a new version for Win11. I don't use most of the features in there so I can't really speak for how good the app is overall. All I know is I can add tabs to Explorer windows, and save groups of tabs to quick open. That's all I care about, and it works great. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
