There are also apps which serve the same purpose, and you can compare to sale prices games have gone for in the past. For example: https://psdeals.net/us-store. Source: 11 months ago
Use this site to track prices https://psdeals.net/us-store there are big sales around Easter, June-July and Black Friday. There are plenty of sales and you don't have to buy everything full price anyway. Source: 11 months ago
If you can afford both then definitely go for it, so you could hop between the two depending on your mood. Otherwise, if you wanna go by discount opportunity, then go for Dead Space because Dead Island is relatively new and will go cheaper next discounts. This website helps you see past discounts of games if you wanna try to project its patterns. Source: 11 months ago

GoW and HZD (pick the DLC too) are unavoidable. Also pay attention to the sales (Black Friday is usually the best) I bought Metal Gear Solid V for 5 dollars [other will say that after a game is in PS+ or now it gets really cheaper]. With patience you can get the remaster of the first two and Arkham Knight really cheap. Also check this site to track prices. Source: almost 3 years ago
They changed it in October last year, for the worse. I find it to be unusable except to buy a game you already know you want. I use PS Prices or PS Deals to actually be able to find anything. Source: about 3 years ago
