You should check from site like https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/ if the pokemno in question has any actual use. If not, you can evolve, though even then tow caveats: There is once in five weeks a spotlight hour that gives oyu double XP, so if oyu cna saving them for that would be of benefit. Also, occasionalyl we may get reseatch tasks asking to evolve specific pokemon for interesting rewards (so there is benefit... Source: 7 months ago
Figure out what attacks are available and which would be the best for what you want to use it for. There are plenty of sites out there that will give you lists and breakdowns— here is one I use. Source: 11 months ago
The exclusive moves are almost exclusively a thing for pokemons that have three stage evolution. So if the first evolution costs 25 candies it is then the second one with a cost of 100 that either has some exclusive move that is avialable only if you evolve during some specific event - or it will quite likely get one, while those costing 50 candies most likely don't. In some cases thse exclusive moves are not... Source: 11 months ago
FYI, I’d recommend https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/ for understanding which moves are good and why. Source: 11 months ago
But I'd also recommend Gamepress as well, because it has explanations of why a pokemon/move is good/bad in pvp. Source: about 1 year ago
2) Look up reviews of the shadow and regular version of your Pokemon here https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/ to see which one you'd rather have for raids (pve) and battles (pvp). Source: about 1 year ago
Usually I also consult https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/ (enter Pokemon name in the search field). For each mon it has descriptions on alternate movesets, individual moves, performance rating (like 5/5, one of the tiers) in each of the main leagues, and much more. Tiers are described here: https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/how-read-pvp-tier-list. Source: about 1 year ago
Sick find, but search it’s name here. Source: about 1 year ago
Gamepress is a great resource for finding the best Pokemon of a type or if a Pokemon is useful in general. Source: about 1 year ago
When I started I used this site all the time: https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/. Source: about 1 year ago
To answer your original question, you can look a Pokémon up on Gamepress and it will usually tell you what the Pokémons CP is at level 50. Source: about 1 year ago

Use this website it breaks down if the mon is good for PvE or pvp and the move sets grade. It also tells why certain moves are superior. Source: about 1 year ago
Https://pokemongohub.net/ and gamepress.gg/pokemongo provide more analysis about individual Pokemon and what's good in the current GBL cups. The "Nifty or Thrifty" series on PokemonGo Hub is awesome, especially if you want to play around in a special cup that only lasts one week and you don't want to spend a bunch of resources on 'Mons you may never use again. I like to use https://pvpoke.com and https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/ to get a sense of how any given Pokémon can be used in the game at the moment. Source: over 1 year ago
I really recommend the Gamepress website. Look up a Pokémon in their wiki. It provides a ranking for PVE and each PvP league. It provides optimum move set. https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/. Source: over 1 year ago
My favourite is https://gamepress.gg/pokemongo/ they have a great explanation on why the Pokémon is good for different content and what it's weaknesses are, also if there is a figure mega evolution coming or a signature move etc. But they seem very slow to update (they still haven't added how good shadow force is for giratina) and there is still a few things missing that I would like to see from each Pokémon.
