Open up Sims and build a replica and arrange it til youre both happy. Alternatively, free online home designers like this one could help you figure it out. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
I'm a bit confused by the comments but I like the 3rd picture layout. Theory says it's nice to have natural light when you're working and it's true, but nobody said you need to face de window. On a sunny day it can be disturbing for your eyes and you can easily get distracted too. However, I think it's you who need to try and see which layout suits your needs. I'm really bad at giving suggestions when I haven't... - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
It's hard to say anything if we don't know what you already have and what you need. However, if you'd like to add more furniture or rearrange the space, you'll find some help on this website. You can try different layouts or add a sofa, loveseat, etc. With the size you like and see how it looks. Then check 3D view :). - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
Have a look at this website, you just need to upload or create the plan of the room, then add measurements and furnitures and try different layouts. Then check the 3D view, if you do a good job it'll make you feel like if you were inside the room. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
Maybe start by tidying it up and removing the things you don't need: that's also important if you believe in feng shui. If you can, get a bookcase with doors (it helps to make the room look tidier and cleaner. As for the distribution, it's true that the space is very small but maybe you can try a floorplanner such as this one; you just have to create a plan with the room size and the furniture you have, and then... - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
Well it looks like you don't have many options... it's true that the dining area is bigger and the living room, and you could try a different layout there but it depends on you. I don't think you should change anything, however you could take a look at this website if you want to take some ideas or create a 3D rendering to try a different layout. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I would definitely not eat where the rug is. I would move the table behind the couch and rotate the rug. I would get a new cover for the couch (really cheap ones on amazon), some plants, a big painting for the empty wall and maybe some pillows?? However I feel like we're missing something and maybe you could improve the layout and make the room look bigger... Try to create a plan here with the room size and let's... - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
> I'm thinking the Sims :) But I need "real" measurements. Perhaps one of these? https://floorplanner.com/ https://planner5d.com/ https://www.smart3dplanner.de/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
I wouldn't choose a white carpet, you obviously know the reasons. A light grey is much more convenient and it won't make the space darker. But, is it necessary to carpet at all? I hate carpets, they are just a repository of dust and dirt. You can get vinyl tiles and then put a rug where you want to have a rug. Also, if you want a quality render, visit this webpage, there are a lot of styles and you would be able... - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
I love the vibe! I think it would help if you explained what elements you want to include; in the meantime, I would recommend for you to take a look at this floor planner, where you can get ideas and create 3D renderings from scratch. It's quite easy to use and you'll get to visualize your space before spending money on furniture, decoration, etc. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
Must be exciting! Alright so it would be great if you could design a plan for layout and decor. This webpage you can do it for free and results are quite realistic, because you get "default" elements but then you're able to modify and customize literally everything, from sizes to fabric patterns or furniture color. Then go to 3D view and check the result :). - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
Let's see, it's quite difficult to imagine the result of that layout without actually seeing it. Why don't you try to create a 3D rendering? I know you can create one for free on this website. Once you get the 3D view, you'll be able to see if the room looks cluttered or not, and make changes until you find the option you like. That way you will also be able to create the area for chilling. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
If you don't have any more options, I would suggest you to take a look at this webpage. You can create a plan, add sizes and furniture and check 3D view. You'll be able to see how your room would look like after redesign. Good luck! - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
Based on what you said, I think Planner5D would be perfect for you! They have a feature where you upload an image of your blueprint and it will 3D render it for you. Fair warning, you may have to make adjustments in the sizes if you're using imperial measurements as opposed to metric. With the level of customization you're looking for, I would recommend the paid version, which costs me $9.99 USD per month. You can... - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
There is a lot going on there. Have you tried any interior design software? This one is free; you can upload or create a plan, add furniture, windows, etc. And it's a really good idea when you are starting from scratch and don't know where to start. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
I think it's a really cozy nook you got there, however I feel like the couch should be facing the TV. If for some reason you ever want to change the layout, and you want to save time just dragging furniture back and forth, just try a free planner to see how it would look like. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
- Apart from that, I would get some hanging plants for the TV wall. Have you tried this tool to get ideas and/or design the space? - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
I guess if you're placing them in the living room, for example, you should have a white couch and you could get matching colors pillows... I mean, it's a bit complicated but not impossible. Why don't youcreate renderings to see how it actually would look like? - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
I personally don't like silver and gold combination but it's up to you. If you are looking for ideas or want to get a real picture of the outcome, check this app and go to get ideas or create a plan to experiment with different options. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
I think it would help to know if you are living alone, working from home, etc. In order to know what your needs are. However, as you're starting from scratch and you can do ANYTHING (exciting!), I would recommend you to have a look at interior design apps, such as this one, to get ideas or design the room yourself. Also, these guys are offering designs for free, I've seen that on this video, and the application... - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
You definitely need some life: plants give a total different outlook when decorating. Why don't you try to make a render and see what you could get by combinating different elements? - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
