  • Two questions
Car seats are mayhem, I don't know how to decide either. People recommend babylist.com and Lucie's List. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Question for soon to be or new dads:
My wife is 34w+2 and let me tell you I was just like you when we found out she was pregnant. Around week 12-14 we planned our Sex reveal "she got a blood test for that". By week 20 we started making list for baby shower preparations. She was in charge of food, drinks, decorations. I was in charge of guest list, invitations, baby registry. Let me tell you Baby registry aint easy to put together specially when you are... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Baby Registry
We use babylist.com it has every store price for every item, the question of the day for you is what are you offering that no other store can offer. The baby market is very very tough to break into .. I built 4 baby stores all made about 60k-80 k a year, not bad but all of them closed down because I guess the profit margin is very low. idk. • Bassinet questions??
However, I can't find info about mattresses/pads/sheets for this model, even on the Graco site. We're using babylist.com for our registry, and their Mattresses page has generically rectangular mattresses. How do I know what to get re: mattress pads, liners, sheets, etc? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Best baby bottle
Highly recommend the sample box from babylist.com. It was so helpful to have different options that first week and then we just bought a full set of what he did well with. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Anyone else receiving random baby items in the mail?
I got a box of enfamil yesterday! I think I signed up on a website or agreed to let babylist.com give my information to affiliates. Inside the enfamil box was like $550 gift cards to various websites. I still haven't decided if that parts a scam yet, but I haven't really looked into it yet. Ill take all the free stuff I can get! • Medical leave / disability for 6 months - what would you suggest?
I'm 12 weeks currently and working from home, probably something like 4ish hours per day and sometimes more. Other than that, I've been using this time to read up on all things pregnancy and baby care (https://www.lucieslist.com/ is my favorite website so far for good information about everything from prenatal visits to toddler care). This week I started working on compiling a registry on babylist.com, which is... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Babylist.com is a scam site - avoid at all costs
Just like the title says - avoid Babylist.com like the plague. They literally "shut down our account" after $1500 worth of credit had been contributed at our shower without any form of acknowledgement and are completely unreachable by customer service. They truly are a scam company and I just hope no other couples fall to their predatory practices. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Alternative Baby Shower Etiquette
I am having the exact seem experience with babylist. It had been super-convenient for me to add items through babylist.com. I had been reading their guides (which are amaaazing) and adding items along the way. I also like that it links to Target, Amazon and the smaller vendors. IT price compares. Like, this is next level amazing. However, I think most of my relatives and my husband's relatives aren't even looking... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Registeries
FTM. Started mine at 4 months but I'm pretty sure no family/friends were paying attention to them. That was helpful though. That gave me time to ask my SIL for advice, privately, about the items in my registries. I am now 6 months and people are starting to ask about the registries. Two weeks ago I went to a buy buy baby shop (our closest one is an hour away) and looked at their items and it was super helpful. I... Source: about 3 years ago
  • How the actual f*ck do you do twins???
Stuff-wise - You can start a registry on babylist.com and keep it hidden/password protected so people don't access it before you're ready. I would add different versions of the same product so I could easily find them to compare them. Once I got closer to sharing the registry with people, we went through and narrowed everything down. Our baby shower is Sunday and we're started receiving gifts and I've been blown... Source: about 3 years ago
  • Desperately don't want to receive gifts that are impractical, "cutesy", or decorative in nature. Tips for getting family/friends to stick to practical, useful gifts?
This is one of the major reasons I decided not to reveal the gender of my baby. And I was straight-forward in telling people it was WHY I didn't want to reveal the gender. In the end, I revealed the gender to a few ppl I trust to NOT buy the cutesy stuff I hate. One of those people being my sister who is letting me reuse her baby's clothes, and told me I can return whatever I don't want at anytime. Being upfront... Source: about 3 years ago
