  • Are the Apple addicts ok?
If that's an option, you could use a Macbook air and something like https://parsec.app/ to stream from a windows machine. Source: 4 months ago
  • Crossplay for the Overcooked! Series
For PC players, there are unofficial ways to play with people online. Steam Remote Play Together and Parsec can be used to play the game online with other PC users. Source: 10 months ago
  • Mahvel lives!!!
Its very similiar to those help desk apps, but allows you to limit what people can do while connected to your desktop and connect controllers. You can see more about it here if you're interested. Source: 10 months ago
  • Remote PC for school and gaming
I think might want parsec https://parsec.app/. Source: 10 months ago
  • Citrix for personal use
Not really. Look into Parsec, or Guacamole behind a reverse proxy. Source: 10 months ago
  • Photoshop Lightroom remote server
Provided your internet speed is fast both on your office and your home and your server and laptop both have good graphics performance you can try the free version of Parsec. Source: 10 months ago
  • Mac setUp for a Designer - My setup for my days spent producing animated films... which then turn into apparel and graphic design evenings.
In doing a bit of research, I ran across Parsec (https://parsec.app) which is advertising this capability (haven't tested yet). I'm considering if this wouldn't be a better setup. It shouldn't cost much more, and then I'm not fighting/hoping the Mac gets some 3D love from Apple and 3D app devs. Source: 10 months ago
  • Login rewards on phone
Create an email account on the Parsec website: https://parsec.app/. Source: 10 months ago
  • Steam via Remote Desktop?
Unless you are running some simple games, remote desktop will not have high enough performance for gaming (in fact, RDP doesn't provide GPU access, AFAIK). You need something like Parsec or Moonlight for game streaming. Source: 10 months ago
  • Very satisfying when you end up with a clean level at the end of a round!
Parsec is a great way to play all your "local only" multiplayer games online :). Source: 10 months ago
  • Moonlight alternative for macOS
I think Sunshine is the way to go as parsec.app is not free. Source: 10 months ago
  • For those who want to play the Japanese version of BP, I can help.
I would like to lend you my PC in Japan. Specifically, you can use a service like "https://parsec.app". Source: 10 months ago
  • Introducing Feynman: A beautifully designed All-In-One EV navigation app for All EV drivers
We actually considered it, but found out that it's already in use: https://parsec.app. Regardless, thank you for the suggestion! Source: 11 months ago
  • 4k game streaming to TV
Nowadays, I'd suggest buying/building a lightweight mini PC/Raspberry Pi and installing Parsec or SteamOS to use as a streaming device. Source: 11 months ago
  • Questions about setting a local, home office remote desktop
Hearing great stuff about parsec.app , no personal experiences. Source: 11 months ago
  • Screen random glitches
PS: I have checked cabling etc. The weirdest thing of all is that, when I switch desktop (Ctrl+Win+arrow) to my remotely connected work machine which runs through a parsec this does not occur. So the glitchy boxes only exist on my local machine. Source: 11 months ago
  • PC to Monitor and TV
Assuming that you have a PC, GPU, and monitor/TV that are all capable enough for what you want to play, I would check out Parsec or Sunshine + Moonlight. (Now that Nvidia discontinued the Gamestream service, Moonlight, is the go-to FOSS equivlaent.). Source: 11 months ago
  • r/ULTRAKILL will join the blackout on 12th of June
Parsecis a free software you can install on your pone to remotely control your PC. A simple bluetooth mouse or a controller can allow you to play your PC games on mobile (Unfortunately, you connection might be too laggy to play ULTRAKILL depending on your connection). Source: 11 months ago
  • RDP software recommendations for gaming and multitasking
For that I'd go with Parsec. If not gaming, the usual Windows RDP or other classic software. Source: 11 months ago
  • How to play TOTK remotely!
The app I use is parsec it’s a free app but does have paid features, I personally use the free version and it works just fine for what I need. Source: 11 months ago
  • PC is upstairs with sim rig in basement? Is this possible?
Maybe try with https://parsec.app/. Source: 11 months ago

Released 6 years ago, Parsec is an application that lets users capture their desktop. This is mainly used by players to play games on their computers from different devices. Stream games with these Google Stadia alternatives
Parsec has become a well-known name in the burgeoning game streaming arena since it was founded in 2016 – and for good reason. The service offers one of the smoothest experiences around, which the company attributes to its native streamer code built upon popular and fast encoders. It’s easy to use too. If you want a friend to join you, even in a local co-op game, all you have to do is send an invite to a friend...

However, games are a time-consuming activity that I think Parsec’s own website sums up pretty well: “If you play more than 8-10 hours of games each week and you want the best experience possible, you should still build / buy your own gaming PC.” It’s evident that Parsec is warning you about the costs over time.
