I was using a nice gui client for youtube dl just yesterday when it just refused to download a mp3 for some reason. I deleted that client and downloaded this one https://github.com/dsymbol/yt-dlp-gui and it didn't work neither. So then I downloaded this one https://github.com/jely2002/youtube-dl-gui and it didn't work neither. The last one said "Error! Binaries missing/corrupted." So what can I do? Source: over 1 year ago
I tried Open Video Downloader which is a GUI for youtube-dl but that didn't work because of a bug. Source: over 1 year ago
VLC is a media and network player, not so much a download tool. I'd rather use a free website, youtube-dl or a youtube-dl-based tool. Source: over 1 year ago
I like the idea of using a command-line program for downloading content. It would seem to be simpler in all respects, b/c and despite a GUI. When running Open Video Downloader (youtube-dl-gui) its error however, is " Error! Binaries missing/corrupted. " and recommends "restart the app and disable antivirus. " Has anyone experienced this error? Basically, sounding way to suspect and worth inquiring with a forum. Source: over 1 year ago
And for those who aren't too comfortable with a CLI, there is also a GUI version :-) Https://github.com/jely2002/youtube-dl-gui (I haven't tested / verified this one). Source: over 1 year ago
On a completely unrelated note, I'll just post this link here, with an unrelated suggestion that you at least purchase the album if you haven't already. https://github.com/jely2002/youtube-dl-gui. Source: over 1 year ago
But if you want a 3rd party video downloader I recommend Open Video Downloader it has some advantage like sponsor block, choosing codec …etc. Source: over 1 year ago
I'd recommend checking out Open Video Downloader. It's free and works very well. It also self-updates. You can set it to download a single video, an entire YouTube playlist, or just the audio from a video. It's pretty flexible and fast. Source: over 1 year ago
Open Video Downloader is a GUI for youtube-dl and it works great and iirc it also works with entire playlists: Https://github.com/jely2002/youtube-dl-gui. Source: almost 2 years ago
Are you comfortable using the Terminal? yt-dlp works wonders and is scriptable. There are some GUI projects for it, like Open Video Downloader. Source: almost 2 years ago
Not all youtube downloaders work though. The only one I found that works for vr180 videos is Open Video Downloader. Currently after installing it you currently also have to manually download a file missing in the main installer and stick it in the install directory, a simple fix though. Source: almost 2 years ago
Quick Google search shows this: https://github.com/jely2002/youtube-dl-gui. Source: about 2 years ago
Use ytdl, it's the code that all the youtube to mp4 sites use. I personally use this because it has a gui. Source: about 2 years ago
I recommend JDownloader2 and IDM for most downloads; for videos/Youtube, I'd suggest youtube-dlp plus a GUI like this one. For manga, I use FMD2 or HakuNeko. For websites, I use a combination of browser Save As... And SingleFileZ. Source: about 2 years ago
I would recommend using open video downloader, as it’s very easy to use. Just go to the website, click on the top most link in the “how to use” section, scroll down a bit and download the correct version for your OS. Source: about 2 years ago
