  • As Twitter backlash grows, rival Mastodon reaches 2.5 million monthly users
The Fediverse is kinda wack as a whole so far. Mastodon is not so wack. You want to have verification? Use the recognized domain name that you own to make an instance. You can't make one at nba.com, npr.org, or like whitehouse.gov unless you own that domain name, meaning it's verified. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago

The first thing I want you to do is Google JOHN FUGELSANG PARENTS. Look for the website npr.org and find the article A BROTHER AND SISTER GET MARRIED (AND LATER THEIR SON TWEETS IT). I’ll explain why. To quote npr.org, ""Mr. Jones was given every opportunity to comply, but, when he chose instead to withhold evidence for more than two years, the Court was left with no choice but to rule as it did today," Mattei said. Thanks. The problem does seem to have been fixed for now. Another user who posted originally on another thread seems also have problem resolved as well. We were both experiencing the same problem. Don’t know whether we were in the same part of country using the same dns comcast servers, but apparently ancestry.com was getting other complaints. It impacted npr.org as well so maybe their users were complaining... - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
  • Unable to reach ancestry.com via comcast

It was refusing to load, sometimes I reached the home page of ancestry., but would not allow further access. Using the vpn works, so it is bypassing whatever dns server comcast was pushing to my router was the problem..hope it is fixed. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
