  • Is there way to edit my notes using Notes app when on my iPhone and using vim when I'm on my Macbook ?
I'm virtually certain that Apple Notes uses a proprietary format for storing notes; if that's the case, it's definitely impossible. Consider using some other app for note taking that uses an open format. If you don't know where to look, search for "Markdown" (which is an open lightweight markup language) on the App Store; one such app is Obsidian (which is also available on macOS btw). • 8 Valuable Technical Writing Lessons I Have Learnt So Far in 2023 (Beginners Perspective 🧐)
Markdown — According to Markdown Guide, Markdown is a lightweight markup language that you can use to add formatting elements to plain text documents. • Compilable Markdown for Linear Algebra
    > thereby pairing something mildly similar in concept to Markdown (though not novel to Markdown) with the absolute antithesis of Markdown (which is firmly designed for ease of entry). I would say that this is false. > The overriding design goal for Markdown’s formatting syntax is to make it as readable as possible.[1] E.g. • Markdown, Asciidoc, or reStructuredText - a tale of docs-as-code
The original version of Markdown by John Gruber doesn't specify the syntax unambiguously. For example, it doesn't have table formatting. Due to the popularity of Markdown and the limitations of Gruber Markdown, a plethora of variations, or "flavors", of Markdown have been introduced. Due to this lack of standard, folks like Eric Holscher, who are passionate about the community, have been vocal about not using... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago

  • We Should Have Markdown Rendered Websites
Don't forget that markup refers to the document's formatting and markdown is a specific markup library that converts text-to-HTML. So technically all browsers do support markdown. We should re-visit the actual term "mark-up" which refers to decorating copy during the editing phase. I think many people agree that using markdown to "mark-up" copy on websites is easier. https://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
