I've inherited about 40+ of wordpress sites and I need to produce a report on any plugins that are no longer maintained. Are you familiar with mainwp.com or EDD Software Licensing plugin? Not sure if I'm correctly understanding what you're asking, but those are the two I know of that devs use to manage and update themes & plugins on client sites. Source: almost 3 years ago
There are others I like, but the final one I will mention is if you manage multiple WordPress websites. MainWP is a HUGE help if you manage several WP sites. You are able to work with them all and upgrade them all under a single dashboard. I am cautious and combine the upgrade with the first mentioned plug-in WP Reset in case an upgrade goes bad, I can backup to previous versions and remain protected in case of...
