Haven't done video editing in a long time, but what's wrong with lightworks? - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
It is always good to know different editing systems if you plan on doing this for a career. Lightworks is a very good editing system that lets you focus on the editing itself without bogging you down in lots of effects and many different panels. Lightworks has a free version which makes it very advantageous to start out with. It does have a bit of a learning curve but the people on the forum @ lwks.com are great... - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Lightworks is a decent video editor, also great for a gaming video editing, though there are alternatives. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago

Lightworks is another popular one but personally I've never really liked it. It has a pretty tough learning curve. - Source: Reddit / 10 months ago
Save your University (.edu) email address! You can find lots of discounts with a valid Uni email address, like Adobe Apps including Premiere Pro ($239/annual) which is a wonderful app for video editing if you plan to create things like intros and outros, or simple video editing for YouTube (if you plan on going that route). If not, there are other free alternative softwares to use. Hitfilm Express and Lightworks... - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
Anyway, all of this is not to try crush your dream of finding a video editor to work with you, but I just wanted to ensure that you had a realistic understanding of what might actually be involved in turning 8h Twitch streams into content that will (hopefully) be a hit on Youtube. My honest recommendation would be to download one of your own VODs, grab a free video editing program like LightWorks and just have a... - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago

4) In order to edit your videos you can try the free version of Lightworks you can do many common things (cut, trim, dissolving videos/audios, adding text, adding subtitles, ...) and no watermark will be added to your video. When you will become "pro" then you may need to upgrade to their "pro" version, but for the first months you probably won't need it. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Lightworks or DaVinci Resolve would be two more alternatives. However, these are more intended for professional use. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Lightworks is another professional proprietary NLE for GNU/Linux. It was released on this platform 5 years earlier than DaVinci Resolve, actually. It was used in the production of Pulp Fiction, The Wolf of Wall Street, and recently The Irishman. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Next step is to start preparing. This means two things: first, you need to start learning the skills needed to actually pull off the ARG. You don't need skills as advanced as, say, Crow 64, but you should at least understand the medium you're working in. If you're making videos, learn to use a video editor. If you're making websites, find a host that's both in your budget and lets you do what you want to do, and... - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Box of flavored chocolates or snacks from different countries. Gift card so that he could get the games he wants or getting him some games that are just released. If you know any of his particular favorites then maybe fan stuff like keychains, mugs, tees, figurines, etc. If he ever mentioned doing letsplay videos then a video editing program like Clipify or Lightworks. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
It's really nothing complicated: If you're interested in simple editing of gameplay clips and things then Lightworks or OpenShot (I've heard) are good free alternatives to Premiere (there is also Movavi, but I have no idea what the free version is like). Practice obviously helps, but for example to make these three it was just a matter of adding a Frame Hold at either the face or arm portion of the Killer Dreg... - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
For video editing, try Lightworks and if you want a DAW for audio, try Ardour. These are probably the best options if you want to do somewhat professional work on Linux currently. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I haven't used it extensively but Lightworks is a decent video editor for Linux (and Mac/Windows). - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
