  Nope, you can easily get a crypto wallet with just few clicks (Metamask browser extension for Ethereum, Phantom for Solana, Bitpay for Bitcoin etc). Then you can buy it through peer to peer, which means there will be a seller and you as the buyer and no one else in between, you can use localbitcoins.com for buying BTC, or kucoin.com which is a crypto exchanging and doesn't require KYC and has a lot of options.   a week ago, I googled "Kucoin login" which I clicked on an ad on the top of google right above kucoin.com then I entered my user name, password, then it asked for google 2f authentication code of which I entered, then trading password.   Are you sure you're on the original KuCoin website. Its suppose to be kucoin.com .. There are fake websites of KuCoin nowadays (phishing) which will only give you the loading "circle" without letting you in (it captures your login details).   I havent logged in for sometime at KuCoin; I did a g/search for kucoin and not thinking much clicked the link and it took me to the familiar website.. But after putting in my SMS code, it just hangs.. And I refreshed the page, now another SMS code came from Spain? With a funny serial number.   This is not a phishing scam. I've gone over my browser history multiple times and it shows that I only visited kucoin.com, there are no other variations in the history. This was some sort of exploit on Kucoin's side...just look at what everyone is saying. I've been in crypto for over 4 years and have NEVER fallen victim to a phishing scam.   I've been unable to find pro level trading platforms (think Lightspeed, Interactive Brokers, etc.) that offer crypto trading, so I've been using kucoin margin on kucoin.com.
