This a good place to plug my favorite launcher? Search-based launchers in general are something I just cannot live without nowadays, there's way less friction there with openint apps and such. Kvæsitso is the one I use currently: https://kvaesitso.mm20.de/. The design is really good, and the widget support is nice. Search is not as perfect ass the classic KISS, though: http://kisslauncher.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago

Kiss Launcher in conjunction with the Panels app. Changed how I use my phone, increases efficiency and reduced frustration. It has cememted itself in my all time top 5. Minimalist but still very powerful what can be accessed and accomplished. Source: about 1 year ago
Yes Panels, and it really is a WONDERFUL companion to the KISS launcher. Don't miss scrolling between pages with custom widget setups and where I placed the app icon. Source: about 1 year ago

I've been using KISS Launcher for a couple of years now and it's been rock solid. It has plenty of customisation options as well, but keep in mind that it is primarily a search-based launcher (which I prefer). Source: over 1 year ago
You can change your DE much more fully on Android. For example, I use the more text-based KISS launcher instead of rows of icons for apps. Source: over 1 year ago
I highly recommend the KISS launcher, extremely lightweight and free software ( both as in gratis and as in libre .) You can get it on F-droid or on Google Play. Source: over 1 year ago

If you want an alternative or minimalist approach, KISS Launcher is good (https://kisslauncher.com) as is Niagra (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bitpit.launcher). Source: almost 2 years ago

Check out KISS Launcher (the screenshots on the website are VERY outdated, so don't judge by them. Source: almost 3 years ago
I use KISS because it's minimalistic and clean. Probably not for everyone but I don't really use my phone that much so I don't need any fancy stuff. Just a list of apps I recently used and pinned favorites. Only thing I miss is the ability to show web browser shortcuts or whatever its official name is. Source: about 3 years ago
If you want a lightweight launcher with few features and an atypical UI, try https://kisslauncher.com/ (available in the Play Store and in F-Droid). It shows your apps in a "frecency"-ordered, scrollable and searchable list. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
