I tried https://jitsi.org, open source video conferencing, the other day and it worked just fine. I didn't use the camera, so not entirely sure how well that piece of works but at least there are options other than google. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago

Two examples would be tox and jitsi . They are open source projects and provides chat , video chat, video conferencing etc. I am not sure but I don't think they have any office in india ( yet). Source: 9 months ago
You'd also have to define what "high-quality video conferencing software" means. Instead of reading random internet strangers' guesses, perhaps take a look at jitsi. Jitsi is a suite of open-source video conferencing tools. If you examine their dev team, look through their commit history, and see what they've built, then that'll give you an idea of how much effort is involved. Source: 9 months ago
Have you looked at Jitsi? It should work in a browser, though it may depend on WebRTC. Apparently it works under FreeBSD, not sure about NetBSD. These links may help:. Source: 11 months ago
For web meetings I prefer jitsi, but all my customers use zoom. Source: 11 months ago
You could try these self-hosted solutions: TrueConf, Jitsi or BigBlueButton. The choice generally depends on your needs and company budget. Source: about 1 year ago

Jitsi is an open-source Zoom alternative that allows you to create highly secure videoconferencing solutions. The main project gives you the tools for web-based videoconferencing, and community add-ons facilitate audio, dial-in, recording and simulcasting. Mikeboucher21 adds, "I think Jitsi is the best on privacy. You can make it 100% P2P.". Source: about 1 year ago
Download and install your own version of open sourced platform Jitsi....https://jitsi.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
You could self host a Jitsi instance. Use a single Web URL and if you have a VPN between offices it doesn't even need to be internet facing. Shortcut can be on the desktop of the RN and the patient facing computer, works on mobile/tablets too. Hard to get more simple than that. Source: over 1 year ago
For our communications system we are installing a Jitsi, open source communication server ( more details can be found at https://jitsi.org/) allowing encrypted peer to peer communications. Source: over 1 year ago
Hello, very interested in this, thanks for making this event. Maybe I’ll join tomorrow. This is one of the few websites that don’t force you to use https even though it does have it! Impressive. In the spirit of keeping things open and without a user account, I’d recommend setting up some jitsi [0] conference rooms that don’t require an account. Awesome, hit me up in DM and we’ll figure out a good time for a quick Zoom or Teams call, or I think Jitsi is a privacy based telemeeting site but I haven’t been able to talk anybody else into trying it because of course Zoom is so easy and nobody around me seems to care about privacy. I think https://jitsi.org/ and your choice of scientifically developed lessons are the best way. Source: over 1 year ago
