I first took three frames from the opening and drew red borders. Then I used https://theinpaint.com/ to fill in some detail. Cropped out what wouldn't work and upscaled it with https://imgupscaler.com/. Took me about an hour for each. One wasn't working at all. Maybe see what you can do on your own first with https://theinpaint.com/ if there's any big group shots where she shouldn't be there! There are also plenty of photo restoration programs like Photoglory or Inpaint. They usually have tutorials and video guides, so you can do the whole thing on your own. Here is also a list of other software to fix old photos. Hope that helps a bit! Source: over 2 years ago
One of the PPs mentioned Ancestry's gift subscription, I absolutely second this. You can also think of a software to restore old photos in case she's doing that (something like Photoglory or Inpaint) or DIY genealogy books/albums (there are workbooks, family tree guides, etc) or something like that.
